Side note . Watching the home field video (for the 10,000th time )YouTube had the Tennessee 101’s with Bud and Gus as a suggested video I might like. Don’t know how I have missed these as they were obviously done sometime ago. To quote the great Carl Childers I know that sometimes we make a “great deal of sport” of these 2 guys but their knowledge of Vol history really makes these episodes compelling viewing !

Thanks folks! I found some interviews with his teammates at the Chicago Bears and they all called him Bait ee
I had heard that Neyland never really corrected folks so that probably added to the confusion. His wife made sure people got it right lol
