I just want to go ahead and post this and get it out of the way, we'll beat NC State by 24 or more.

We're better at every position on the field, sans one cornerback. This is a team that lost to Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Boston College and Florida State. Their one quality win was against Clemson, who didn't have Sammy Watkins and turned the ball over 4 times, all in the red zone.

Look at who we lost to last year, the circumstances of each loss and realize we have better coaching this year, more athletic players, better conditioning and this Rogers situation is going to bring the team together more than ever.

Keep your head up Vol fans, we're going to make some noise this year.

EB4Heisman, let me know if you want some action on it. I'll give 24.5. It will happen.

I think they'll beat NC St, but they have to put it on them to make me feel better, if they just squeak by then UT loses to Florida.

I watched the NC State/Clemson game last year and Clemson really shot themselves in the foot. NC State pounced and was able, thanks to Clemsons follies, play quite a good game.

The key was always going to be improvement in our running game. Without it, we could have 5 all-world WRs and it wouldn't make a whole lot of difference.

I say we run for 275 yards and win by at least 3 TDs. Graham and Pittman each get game balls.

so I had to click on this thread because I thought I remembered putting this poster on ignore and the title intrigued me. 95% of posters that I put on ignore are the ones that in a game thread will begin to post things like, "Game Over" , "We suck", or "no chance now". I understand admitting defeat sometimes, but those game threads get a bit of an over-reaction. When you are down by 3 in the 3rd quarter the game isn't over.

After clicking, I chose to "view post". After reading this post, I am very surprised at the turn-around this poster has had, but I have the feeling that if N.C. State was to get the ball first and score a field goal the game is over again.

Sorry, but we aint beatin em by 24. They're good a running back and Oline as well. Everyone points to their game against Cincy as a barometer for how good they are, but keep in mind they were missing 7 starters for that game...7. We moan about Hunter going down, but imagine how we would have looked missing 7 of our starters. Losing the tweet master only makes it more difficult. This game is a toss up at this point imo. If we end up beating them by more than 10 points, I'll gladly come on VN and eat crow, but I don't see that happening.

You guys are crazy thinking we are going to blow them out. We are transitioning to a new defense going up against a 5th year senior QB. Not to metion their secondary is top 5-10 in the nation. I think we win but not in a blowout.

This worries me more than Amerson. Theyre OL is a very veteran group. All RS JRs and SRs.

Part of me wants to say that we dominate them, but I also can see us losing. I have no idea what to expect for this year and the team.

Consider revising.

Also, MOST of his yards came from weak opponents. You can't consider him that big of a threat because everyone on VN knows if it were someone on UT who only had big games against weak opponents you'd be the first to point that out.

Until he has quality games against quality teams, the jury is still out. I think our front 7 will do just fine all yr for the most part barring injury.

Consider revising? To please you? No thanks. Outside of you, I think most knew what I was saying.

Why is every ut fan obsessed with running the ball
Running the ball is not our strength this year we are elite in qb, wr,te and a elite pass blocking o line.
We need to run enough to take pressure off the passing game, nothing more!
Our passing game is what we rely on, its gonna be explosive, productive and fun to watch!
