I was told that he and Tennessee had agreed in principle, but got hung up on buyout terms. I don't think he considered it beneath him.

Have a good friend that's a long time SC fan. They are not thrilled with him either. Said he was all they could get after Spurrier quit on them. They just hoped for the best. Also said no way they fire him after this season as his buyout is big and, like all other schools, SC will lose a lot of money this FB season. Can't afford to unless big time boosters step up with buyout $.
