Would this be a possibility now that he will likely have a cast on his hand? I know he can't catch with that so that certainly eliminates him from his WR position, but he can still swat passes and tackle and we proved that help is needed at the corner position, Martin is woefully inept.

Is it a possibility that he could play the position in his current state so he could still be an asset to the team for the season?

A corner with a club takes away the INT ability.

Just let him heal and come back 100%.

I believe he was, but I believe he could still help at the position if JM is the best we have as a starter.

How do you know he could help when he's never played the position? At least Byrd to cb makes some sense but this really doesn't

Jennings is most definitely a safety. Have you see him on special teams? He would punish anyone who meets him over the middle

No. Let that man heal properly and comeback stronger next year. He has NFL potential, don't risk it for anything weird like that.

I know he won't stay the whole time, but I wonder if JJ will get a medical redshirt.

No way on God's green earth Jennings can play corner, not athletic enough, hips way too stiff. He could probably be a pretty good safety, especially in run support, but he ain't the fastest guy in the world.

Let's not overthink this thing. He's a damn good WR who's injured and out for the season. Let's just let him take his redshirt and look forward to having him back for his 4th season in 2018 imo.

You'd think we'd have Byrd at CB but we don't, so idk

Agree. If we're gonna move a WR over to corner it should've been Byrd, but now that Jennings is gone, we need him more at WR imo. Warren and Shoop have athletes and players over there, just need to coach em up.

Shaquem Griffin from UCF is a DB or LB. He is a senior this year. He has two career interceptions. Two interceptions might not seem good, but the fascinating thing is he only has one hand. His other hand was amputated when he was 4 years old. I believe if Jennings has the talent of playing safety or corner, he will do fine with a cast or club hand.

Are Shaq Wiggins and Moseley really that bad? Martin played the worst game at CB I can remember seeing and that was against a team that only threw 10 times.

this injury is unfortunate but if he does a medical red shirt, he will be on the team next season. Had he not been injured, he likely would have declared for the NFL draft in April.
Now, we can allow other receivers to get playing time this season and develop. Then next season, we will get Jennings back, along with the other experienced receivers and Dormady at Q.B.
Only bright spot I see in this injury situation. If Jennings plays d.b., then he will lose a year of eligibility.....
