You do realize that the article is completely right on point. What part of that article is wrong? Franklin has come in and won. Dooley has made excuses and lost. End of story.

Thanks for helping me find one more *******d to ignore.

ok so you are saying that tn was in worse shape when dooley took over than vandy was when its only won 4 games in the last 2 years? i dont think its that clay travis thats an idiot...so many good quotes from that article but i think i like this one the best...btw i hope vandy isnt ranked (im sure they arent though)

"Dooley is 0-17 against top 25 opponents, 27-33 in nearly five complete seasons as a head coach, and has beaten two teams with winning records in his coaching career. At what point do you acknowledge that Dooley is what his record says he is -- a sub .500 coach?"

So who's YOUR favorite team? Just curious.

I've never wanted to kick the sh!t out of vandy so bad as I do now after reading this. This guy, like a lot of our fans these days, just doesn't get it. I hope Dooley makes Clay look like the douche that he is this weekend.

I live in East Tennessee. I don't give a damn about what some **** salesman from Nashville, who attended Vanderbilt, says about UT. Every time you read or post links to his site, he wins. Dooley may or may not be the guy for the job, but Clay's Vanderbilt love is obvious.

I stopped following Clay Travis on twitter a short while ago and I refuse to ever give him the time of day again. Trust me, guys that continually write on one particular subject are doing so because they continually get a reaction from that fanbase. If you don't give the man the attention he craves, he will move on to other topics.

If you really wanna get at Clay Travis though, find him during the day Saturday, because he will be there, get him good and drunk and then hold him down and shave that beard he seems to be so proud of. The beard he took time to talk about in his own book.

See you guys at the game Saturday night. GO VOLS!!!

I usually pull for Vandy when they aren't playing the Vols, but I hope we just obliterate them now.

I'm not saying parts may have a point but the whole article certainly isn't.

Franklin is "winning"? So far he's not beaten a team he shouldn't. And don't give me the "it's Vandy" line, look at the teams he's beaten: Elon (FCS), UConn (4-5), Army (3-7), Ole Miss (2-8), and UK (4-6). He's yet to beat a winning team. So far he's not done anything Woody, DiNardo, or Johnson didn't do.

And please, comparing him to Pearl is "right on point". Only if Pearl had merely gotten the Vols to the NIT in his first year. Pearl's accomplishments in his first year destroy Franklin's.

Wow. This guy makes so many great points he should be a presidential candidate. He talks about Vandy having the 21st ranked recruiting class in the nation, yet fails to mention, within his *extremely* well written in-depth analysis of our program, that we are currently 11th in recruiting and stand a good chance of finishing in the top 10. I also like the fact that that he thinks Vandy is so much better than us because they "stole" two in-state recruits, but only mentions Jelks, who's 3*'s by the way. Clay, pal, we don't give a s*** about "losing" Jelks, as a matter of fact, I'm glad the big "Vol fan" Jelks went to Vandy, so for the next four years I can watch Peterson, Santos, O'brien, and the other defensive studs in the 2012 recruiting class along with Johnson and Maggit tear through Jelks and the rest of Vandy's offensive line and destroy Rogers like Franklin destroys an all you can eat buffet. I'm glad Dooley's a realist, tells it like it is, doesn't sugar coat it for the kids, doesn't run his mouth and look stupid when he loses like Kiffin did. Dooley WILL do better at UT than Franklin can even hope for at Vandy. They MAY beat us this year, but next year, especially if Bray, Hunter, and Rogers return, and possibly Bowles and Croom are playing some, then you can try your best and cover your a** but until then, have your fun thinking Tennessee is now a washed up program destined for hell while Vandy ascends to BCS glory on the back of a loud-mouth.

Sincerely,

A proud, orange-bleeding Vols fan.

I'd copy and paste what I just replied to poster Sam on there but there's a bit of choice language lol.

The opening says it all. Vandy is ecstatic over staying close to Arky and Georgia. That's the highlight of Vandy football and they hope to accomplish the same every year.
That's not the Vols' goal. UT's goal is to return to prominance and beat the rest of the SEC. Vandy may beat Tennessee this year but it ain't gonna be a trend.

So they feel excellent getting moral victories?
