We're ranked 6 spaces above A&M at this point (we were 19th going into tonight's game, A&M was 25th).

As of right now, the only SEC team ranked above us is an 8-3 Auburn (right now 14th) that still has to play Alabama.

I'm not sure that A&M beating an unranked, 6-4 LSU is going to be enough for them to make up that gap / jump over us if we win next weekend.

Pretty sure UF gets the Citrus automatically if they lose to Bama. Citrus gets SEC #2, right? Ironically, their win gives us a better chance at the Sugar.

That's not quite true (and a bit of a misconception). The Citrus gets the 2nd selection of SEC teams after the CFP semifinals and New Years 6 Bowls pick, but it doesn't have to take the team that finished second in the SEC standings. Nor does it have to take the SECCG loser. It choosing #2 just means that it gets the 2nd selection and can choose whoever's the highest-ranked SEC team still available at that point.

It does, per contract, have to take the SECCG loser at least once every 6 years...but it's already met that requirement.

We aren't going to drop in a poll for beating a team by 26 points.

Not to mention the teams ranked 16th and 14th lost (the latter got blown out badly). We're currently at 19th (the 22nd ranked team also lost).

I am a scout for Florida Citrus Sports... we choose our team for the BWW Bowl, after us the SEC assigns teams to bowls.
