In reality I think Mitch Browning had alot more to do with the success of our O line this past season than Cregg did. But I like the new hire...Hiestand had a bunch of big uglies at U of I go on to be successful NFLers.

No!!!! Chaney interviewed for the OC job, but was considered for the Tight Ends! This guy is good, most wanted experienced coaches he has hired 4 Chaney,Thompson, Baggett and Hiestand. All solid all will be able to recruit. Then the younsters Joseph, Hinshaw, Dooley and (Chuck Smith :crossfingers:) good mix, need name brand DC and we're probably better off then we were!!!!!

I'm reserving judgement on these two latest hires until I get confirmation from the resident VolNation Expert On Everything, that being the one and only Tennacious, that these men meet with his approval.It's important that CDD get this right or Tennacious will piss and moan from now on about how we cannot compete unless we have top tier coaches that everyone has heard of.I await anxiously for Tennacious' response to today's developments.

Yeah and something tells me it is Kevin Steele and Chuck Smith and Dooley is holding out until after NSD. I understand the Steele thing, but not sure why he would delay on announcing Smith. Oh well, I assume he has a reason for it and I am willing to wait.
