Bearcat fans blame officiating on potential loss: (merged)

Yeah, does he have good pocket presents????

I watched most of the games last year. He's a pretty mobile QB that can avoid the blitz well. He's quick and can make some plays with his legs. That being said, get some pressure in his face and make him move and he makes mistakes in the passing game. I've seen him do crazy things to avoid a blitz and then throw a terrible INT.

I am pretty worried, if a big play happens for them in the first 5 and they have momentum, it will be tough for the youth on our team to have composure. We don't want to have to rely on 40 pass attempts to squeeze out a win.

Prediction: UT 38 UC 17

Bray 2 TD
Poole 1 TD
Lane 2 TD

Oh, and we get some recognition:

"Checking Volnation.com- one of Tennessee's largest message boards- their fans are DEFINITELY looking completely past UC. You'll see a sane individual caution them all about one out of every ten posts not to look past Cincinnati. Hopefully their team is as arrogant as their fans are and they end up getting set on their ***** by the 'Cats. I expect a very competitive game. This is not Oklahoma. They are good but certainly not unbeatable. My main concern is how the 'Cats will handle adversity for the first time this season."

It isn't really a pass-first spread any more. That was Kelly's offense. It's much more of a classic run-option spread. Not much 5-WRs in this offense.

Collaros can make plays, but I think Isaiah Pead is much more dangerous.

There is a lot of talent at WR, but most of it has really just played one college football game. But they will throw it to a lot of guys.

You guys have to admit that you were extremely lucky Saturday. It isn't often that a team puts the ball on the ground 6 times and doesn't lose one. The one INT was definitely a result of the pass interference. Don't know about the other one.

WE are looking forward to our trip to Rocky Top. We think this team has gotten better from last year. We'll find out for sure Saturday.

And so it begins haha...we didn't need luck against montana..
Dooley took his foot off the gas early for several reasons...Bray and co. will have a field day against cinci.

Greetings from a UC fan.

I'll admit that the first post of the three at the beginning of this thread was mine. But I noticed no one really commented on that one. Sad. The guy who made the last comment is NOT a highly respected poster on that UC site and he often makes outlandish and foolish comments just to stir things up and get a reaction so please don't take him seriously and as a reflection of our fanbase.

Sorry to say it but the arrogant part is true.

I've been looking at cincy since the schedule was released with a sore spot. They arent what they were when CBK was there, but still a major program that deserves much respect (at least from our players and coaches, I dont give a hoot if fans think they're trash).

I guarantee CDD and the boys are gearing up for Cincy just fine. Not overlooking them to Florida, based simply off the fact that we're not supposed to beat florida this year, so why look ahead to them anyway. Must start strong, must establish the ground game, must go 2-0. And then we look to the swamp, and make some Damn loud music that sure sounds like rocky top a whole lot :)

Tennessee 31- Cincinnati 24

A lot of people that cover the UC program believe Coach Kelly built successful teams for the short haul with little thought to program infrastructure over a longer period of time. Because his main goal was ND all along. He turned down some jobs along the way (believe he was at least considered by UT actually) because he was waiting for ND and when they finally came calling he was gone.

Coach Jones and the team struggled last season but the early returns have been overwhelmingly positive from nearly everyone. The casual fans here aren't happy about the 4-8 season but most of the fans that follow the program closely realize the handicaps that he was working with last season and the vision he has for the program. That vision is working with recruits as well as Coach Jones is helping UC recruit better than it did under Kelly (Bennie Coney and Dennis Norfleet being two of the higher profile recruits that have committed for 2012).

I'm happy for y'alls rebound, but speaking politely, I hope we beat the brakes off you. You don't want to lose and neither do I, but I'm not one of the fans that will be a dick about it either way like you will find on this board. Good luck to you, hope for no injuries either way, good officiating, and one helluva game.

No worries- Soloman Tentman, one of our LB's, made a comment today that they were watching UT tape and they don't want to just win, they want to demoralize. Now I don't in any manner expect a UC blowout. If the 'Cats find a way to win it will be in a close game; But as a fan you've got to love that swagger and desire. I'm sure it's the same for the Vols.

Let the polite gestures occur before the game but once that ball kicks off it's all business. May the best team win.

A loss to cincinnati is acceptable as long as it isnt on the last play of the game due to a recalled penalty after regulation has expired.

God, still having nightmares.
