The Florida game is going to finally fix our QB situation............If JG can't connect in that game Florida will shut the run game down so bad....then Pruitt will have to make the change.......thats just 2 weeks away and then they will have time with the off week to get the other QB ready....thats how I see this working out....

After Florida will be the bye week and two weeks to get the new QB ready...I don't think Pruitt will have a leg to stand on with JG and have to replace him

I think Pruitt will be forced to make the change...Florida will absolutely shut our run game down with 8 in the box and challenge JG to throw the ball and if he can't make completions then for Chaneys sake there will be a change imo

Pruitt cannot force Chaney to play JG if Chaney says NO...no way Pruitt can put Chaney is such a situation....It would be making Chaney look bad and indefensible........

I've been wondering as much for days now. The problem with this line of thinking is two-pronged: if Maurer plays well enough to give Bailey pause, then maybe Bailey ain't all he's cracked up to be, and maybe we don't need anyone other than Maurer quarterbacking.

The other, more basic problem with it is that he would essentially be tanking the season, with the drastic, drastic difference from when tanking happens in the pros being that our players are not getting paid millions to waste their time, they don't already have their futures reasonably secured, and he's toying with said futures. I am not one who believes players should be paid; I believe getting a free ride to college, which I did not and which most non-athletes did not, should be enough; but a free ride does not compensate for putting in hundreds of hours of practice for a season that ends up being a wasted chapter of your life because the coach was waiting on one recruit.

I'm afraid our fanbase is putting Bailey on a pedestal he cannot live up to. He's a 4 star guy who isn't even in his last semester of HS yet.

Pruitt knows if Bailey bails on TN he’s probably getting fired that’s why JG is STILL QB.....

Maybe Coach is saving the best for last.

Maybe he's letting JG play the easy games so we don't give away our playbook and secret weapon (another QB) so other teams won't have any time to practice or game plan against it.

Just me being hopeful but probably won't happen.

If JG plays poorly against Florida we have a bye week after Florida and gives us 2 weeks to get another QB ready....I think this is what happens if things get ugly against Florida

If if gets ugly It will only get worse,,,,If Pruitt makes Chaney continue to play JG after a disaster of a Florida game I think pressure all around will force him to make a change...or lose the fan base altogether...The poll taken to sit JG this week is like almost 1000 say to sit him and about 45 say to play him.....

Then shame on CJP if he promised. I can see him telling Bailey he has the talent to be our starter, but no way do you promise that.
I think that is why JG acted the way he did couple years ago and pouted, he was probably promised he would be starting that game.
