UT isn't a job for a first time head coach with first time coordinators but when the decision makers thought this job was for a failed coach with a losing record and an alleged Sandusky tie (Schiano), this is the situation we are in now.....

I’m not sure I even want to continue watching. We’ve proven we can’t stop them, and we’re punting on their side of the field.

Pruitt and this staff are a total disaster. This team does not want to be on the field today. How can this be?

The vols are done. I've seen this story many times over the past 10 years. We hire inexperienced coach, coach clearly gets outcoached multiple times in year one, teams gets worse as year goes on instead of better. But the response will be "but Saban in year one", or "hes gotta recruit his players".. recruits will not matter if the coach isnt good. Maybe pruitt and staff improve, but this feels like the past few hires to me. Bout to be on a 3 year losing streak to vandy.

This season is ending up just like the last two seasons. Tennessee is hopelessly outclassed AGAIN. I'm watching this game with absolutely no enthusiasm knowing full well that this crappy Tennessee football team has NO CHANCE whatsoever of winning this game. Gawd will this ever end?

I agree. And if Helton is calling all these playes. I hope he goes back to So. Cal. Our O-line is bad and you run on first down and get maybe 2 yards. Helton just throwing first down away. Then you got 2nd and 8 or more then JG gets hit alot.

Seems like it just gets uglier every week. Long ceased to be embarased as this mess as become the norm. Makes it easy to just turn the channel.

Not saying you are, but I dont agree with fans Ive seen complain about the Pruitt hire... complain about Hart, Curry and Co settling for average coaches but after the Shiano embarrassment there was zero shot any decent coach was coming, and Pruitt was about as good of a gamble as you could make. I dont see many high profile coordinators coming either. Im willing to give these guys a leash for the learning. Its not even an issue of being a bad team, its that these older players are still terrible and terribly inconsistent, which is so frustrating.
