To me the UT and Auburn jobs are very similar. Both have great resources and offer a coach the chance to compete at a high level. However, each reside in a division where there are two programs that, if being run correctly, should be more successful. Bama and LSU in the west and UGA and UF in the east. That makes the path to championships very tough.

And in UT's case in all likelihood as it stands right now you'd have to play Bama twice.

TN is barely a top 10 program in the SEC except maybe for the facilities.

With all do respect, big difference in “ supposedly” covering up/witnessing child molestation and not reporting it, than getting escorts for players. Neither is right by any means but I’d take a person getting hookers for a player than a POS seeing and witnessing kids being molested. JMO

Schiano didn't "supposedly" do any such thing. It's fine to not want the man as a coach. Quit libeling him.

Win Loss record sure but perception you are wrong again whoever the next coach is rather big name or Napier will recruit Top 100 250 players if it is a big name we immediately move up to top 6 level classes. In CHRIST Alone

We might become a top 10 program again but we have not actually been one for 20 years.

With regard to the debate of “ AU -VS- UT , which is the better program?” Here is my opinion FWIW.

I will remove the roughly 10 year infancy periods of each program and break it down simply like this . 1900-2000: Comparable programs with a favorable edge to UT, particularly from 1930-1960 & 1990-2000. 2000-2020 AU has the edge and unfortunately it’s not all that close.
