Be glad we are not in a coaching search this year...just look at Auburn

Historically maybe. Currently, though, absolutely not. Look who has had the most success over the last 20 years. It isn't even close.
People Give Auburn, LSU and UGA way to much credit. Tennessee has them beat in every category for the most part. with a good coach Tennessee will be right there with them or above them.

The first thing I see is Auburn leads the series 29-22-3, with Auburn winning 7 of the last 8. So your statement is already factually wrong.
yes that is true they have the edge in head to head but Tennessee is the better program, keep scrolling. plus that doesn't even factor in Stadium, Facilities, and fanbase which has Auburn beat handily in all 3.

Lol, love the absolute statement that's proven by a GIGANTIC qualifying statement. Also love how you keep dancing it back, from in every way, to most ways, to "when we get the right coach".

Then guess what genius.....that means Tennessee isn't better than Auburn "in every way". You were quite easily proven wrong.

For those calling to relieve CJP of his coaching duties this year, let's be thankful we are not in the coaching search this year. Just look at the dumpster fire that is happening at Auburn. Many of their top candidates (who would probably be our candidates as well) are dropping out probably because no coach wants to join a team in a covid pandemic year. Most likely, Auburn will be settling on Kevin Steele as their new head coach. That would be the equivalent of UT firing CJP to promote Jim Chaney to be head coach...
So the better alternative is keeping Pruitt?

Be. We could’ve went to freeze behind the scenes and negotiated. The way to hire a coach is to identify your dream candidate and then absolutely sell out for that individual. Let him that that he’s your no1,2,3,etc. sometimes these ads have to sell the candidate in all the university has to offer etc. but I believe we absolutely could’ve had freeze. Still maybe could
Then the NCAA would really be camping out on the campus.

It was explained by one person familiar with the program, if Freeze was to come here in would mean Fulmer, Plowright and Boyd would all be out. Plus they stated Freeze is so toxic that he is likely never going to get a P5 offer. So much for people wanting Freeze.

The coaching profession doesn’t really take kindly to firing guys that have done reasonably well under the circumstances. It’s saying winning 9 games, going to a bowl most years and finishing in the top 25 most seasons don’t cut it. That’s what happened to Malzahn.

Sorry but all three of those schools are now bigger and more desirable football schools than UT and have been for 15-20 years.

Yep...it’s going to be much better when we are trying to hire against Texas, Michigan, and possibly Bama...if Saban retires.

Yeah but we ruled in the 30s man. That means more.

I have read a lot you have written and the one thing that really consistent is you really hate everything about Tn. And you are truly arrogant about it...

with the right coach that could change almost over night. Everything we have is so close to those other schools, if not better.
