Sounds like a few of my customers in my landscaping business. Properties were in a mess when we started working on them. After a few years of our services these accounts now are very nice. Homeowners now complain about small things. They forget what a mess they were in just a few short years ago......sound familiar?

Those coaches are highly accomplished over many years. Because they have won conference championships, national championships, been ranked in top 10 for many years, etc? That's why when they have a bad loss here and there it does not matter nearly as much as when Butch loses because he has never won anything of significance in big boy CF. Hopefully that was not to hard for you to follow? :crazy:

No I follow. Butch does not have the experience and success as the coaches on that list but somehow performed similarly despite being an inferior coach. I honestly didn't think that he over performed until you just gave that great argument for it. Well done. It is settled. Congrats to Butch for coaching better than he should have

This right here! I spent Kiffin and 1st 2 Dooley years in Big Ten/Big Twelve country. It was absolutely miserable not even being relevant or discussed. Only hearing about TN football in the context of how badly experts predicted our beat down would be.

He'll blame it on inexperience at QB...as long as he wins 6, he will be here in 2018. As much as I hate to admit it it, the TN of my youth (1990s) was apparently an anomaly. Back then the only conference games on our schedule that were in doubt were FL and Bama. We Trucked every one else.

Look, I'm not happy about not going to Atlanta as any other fan, but some of you guys just ***** to *****. We seriously could be in NOLA, but you all just are incessantly just going on and on. For the record you guys don't know **** more than any of us. You're only problem is that you think you do.

Your thoughts in a nutshell:

-Butch is an inferior coach
-He performed similarly to the coaches on that list by losing to a team he should not have
-Those coaches are highly esteemed, successful, and experienced

The logical conclusion is that Butch over performed. Your argument not mine. Should we give him a raise?

You can't argue with TGVol. He knows how to use emojis and bold print. Mix that in with "blah blah I hate CBJ blah blah blah" and you have a typical TGVol post. No content just how much he hates our program.

We wait until the end of the season and give him a boot because he could not win the SEC east in 4 years, even though it's never been weaker.

2016 8-3 present record with a chance to go 10-3. I can't deny that I also am extremely disappointed that we didn't win the East. I also can't deny the progress that I see under Butch! Some of you people never cease to amaze me!

Phil has way more worse losses. Should I mention 2008's loss to USCjr? Wyoming, and UF? How bout the 2005 loss to USCjr 16-15? Or Vandy at home the same year? Maybe 2007's 59-20 loss to UF where they put up 554 yds that day. Before you say that's not a comparison, the 2007 was against 1st team defense, not this make shift 2-3 string defense we have now. Phil had plenty of bad games. CBJ has one he should have won, and you're ready to tar and feather him.

I didn't say Butch should be fired since he lost to one bad team. I'm saying it's been four years and his team still looks like ****. It's not getting better, and the progress in the record is going off a cliff the next two years.

If you were an athletic director at a program like LSU or Texas, do you think you would consider hiring Butch Jones?
