Early projections have the Vols staying at 15 in this week's BCS. Although Virginia and West Virginia dropped below the Vols... Miami and Virginia Tech are projected vault past them this week. Interestingly, Georgia was manhandled by Auburn similarly to how the Vols lost to Auburn .... Ga and Tenn have the same # of losses .... and the Vols whipped the Dawgs in Athens earlier this season.... yet the Dogs are ranked 11 and 10 in the polls compared to the Vols 15 and 16.... and are projected to be 12th in the upcoming BCS.

Although Auburn and Oklahoma are pretty much tied in the human polls... Oklahoma is projected to be #1 in most of the computer rankings... therefore... Auburn gained ground in the human polls but lost ground in the computers and is still behind.

I'll post more updates this morning as well as the final at noon.

I think another big difference was that Auburn was the slight underdog when they played us, whereas they were somewhat expected to beat Georgia. A large upset possibility was there, though, but everybody expected AU to win. So Georgia would not drop as much.

So, there is one way of looking at it where you could still rank the Dawgs higher than the Vols, but I personally think the Vols should be one or two spots higher.

 Here is an interesting fact. Tennessee and Georgia are very close in computer average. .440 for Tenn and .420 for Georgia.

If you swap the rankings of the two teams in the 'human' polls, the two teams just swap in the BCS as well.

Tennessee would be 11 and Georgia would be 17.

-----

 Here's another interesting one... if the Vols were ranked 1 spot higher in the AP.... basically if LSU were 15 and Tennessee were 14.... the Vols would be 14th in the BCS.

 Only .0100 points separate No. 14 Arizona State and No. 17 Tennessee. To compare, the Vols have a .0119 lead over No. 18 Iowa.

------

See who the other ranked teams have left on their schedule.

MIAMI AT 12 WTF!!!!!

No kidding--they lost consecutively to teams with losing records and still remain above us, even thoough both our losses came to teams with winning records. And, of course, Georgia is still above us. Complete bullcrap is all it is! :bad:
