BCS sucks

If Florida beats Bama by 1 point with 1 second left I bet you that ESPN doesn't throw a fit like they did for OSU and Mich 2 years ago when they wanted a rematch in the NC game.

they should do some kind of playoff system. dunno how.maybe randomly select the conference champs to play each other or give them a seed?

I agree it's flawed though

Consider this: In 1998 (the 1st year of the BCS) the VOLS played against FSU for the National Championship. I contend that if it werent for the BCS, the VOLS could not have been National Champions. This incredibly biased and flawed system did work in our favor once.

the problem lies in the money that the bowls attract. it WOULD be good for the sport to have a playoff but there's too many people/companies with money in these bowls. a lot of people who don't know or care about football are running the show. sad.

Eh, that's neither here nor there.

I do think that the top tier teams like OSU and USC making the effort to play each other was a good look. If they're not going to give us a playoff in the post season then the teams are going to have to turn the regular season into a gauntlet.

so it still wouldnt work(money wise) if like they keep all the bowls and then the teams that are not conference champions play in them? possibly some of the conf. champs that get eliminated from the playoff get to go to a bowl game?

I do not really understand the money argument. Playoffs for the top X amount of teams and bowl games for the remaining teams. Does not seem like a difficult process to understand.

I like the BCS. If we have a playoff, teams will not worry about the SOS and then go back to playing "little sisters of the poor" teams. However, a "plus 1" seems to be the best compromise.
