SEC Champ Tennessee
Big 12 Champ Oklahoma
ACC Champ Va Tech
Pac Ten Champ Oregon
Big East Champ West Virginia
Big Ten Champ Ohio St.

National Title Game: Oregon- Oklahoma
Orange Bowl- Va Tech- West Virginia
Fiesta Bowl- Texas- LSU
Rose Bowl- Ohio St.- Southern Cal
Sugar Bowl- Tennessee- Illinois

*If Boise St. Hawaii winner makes it into the top 12, or a conference champion is ranked against them, they take Illinois' slot. But I think that maybe they would slide to Fiesta and Texas would play in the Sugar Bowl based on order of selection.

the big 12 has 3 teams in the BCS top 5 now. hard for me to believe that Illinois or TX gets in over a possible 1 loss KU team or a two loss MO team that's two losses are to OK.

i repeat, TX is the luckiest team in America if that's how it turns out.

I agree with Jake, but I also think if USC gets a BCS bowl game they are very lucky as well. I want to see them get past AT Arizona State first.

I would much rather play texas than Illinois. Illinois's offense would make our defense look silly. We have never played good against a QB like Juice. I'm glad McFadden didn't play QB the entire game the other day or we might have had problems.Remember when we played Nebraska in the late 90's and Airforce last year.

If Kansas beats Missouri and goes in to the Big 12 CG undefeated, I could see your point....sort of. KU's schedule is so weak, that a loss of any kind, to anyone, will drop them like a rock. That's the only way that Texas doesn't get in as long as they win out. I mean who would you rather invite KU's fanbase, or Texas'?

if USC does beat ASU, then they're back in the mix for the Rose if ORE makes it to the title game. If Ore doesn't make it to the title game and USC beats ASU, i don't know that the Pac 10 gets two teams in the BCS.

i thin the bigger if is ORE making it to the title game ahead of a 1 loss OU team that possibly beats top 10 ranked KU and Mizzou (potentially twice).

They can't beat KU and Missouri twice. They would only play one of them. Either KU or Missouri for the second time.
that was meant only for Mizzou.

but thanks for the clarification.

Yeah I know, but they can't beat Kansas AND Missouri.

They only play the winner betweeen Kansas and Missouri.

So they will beat ONE top 10 team, not two.
well, actually, they can. cause they've already beaten MO once in the reg season, so if KS makes it, then, yes, they would have beaten both KS and MO.

If MO wins, then they have the opp. to beat MO twice.

why o why must things be made so difficult.........

thanks for going on this little trip with me though. it was fun.

yeah, lucky that we won our remaining 4 games and somehow luckily beat No. 1 LSU.

there's a lot more luck in that than what TX has had to do this year.

Your original comment was that Oklahoma could have wins over two current top ten teams (KU and Missouri). Insinuating that they would be playing both of those teams between now and the BCs selections, when the reality is, they will only play the winner between KU and Missouri.

It was made difficult because instead of taking the initial correction, you tried to spin it over and over.

Your welcome, btw. :eek:k:

or, you just read my post and took it litteraly for what it said and sliced it up to go on this little journey, instead of using what you already knew and filling in the blanks.
which is why i used words like "potentially" and "possibly" about the scenario.......but whatever floats your boat. you know exactly what i meant the first time.
