Must be a young arkansas fan. he hasn't been around too long making "what if/s" like that. The BCS is never going to allow arkansas to leap frog USC if both win out. Why you ask. USC has more top non conference wins that arkansas. USC would have beat arkansas, Nebraska and Notre Dame as non conference wins, arkansas has no big non conference win and the big plus for the trojans, they did answer the bell in sept. where we didn't.
The SEC is still number one. But you have to win those big games out of conference if you want to play with the big boys. and with that you still have to get a little luck along the way.

Arky needs to take care of Miss. State first. Looks like they giving you all you can handle atm. 14-14

grats on your win and the gift TD at the half by the ref.

I just wanted to say that I called the run stopping by MSU on Arky, putting a damper somewhat on DMAC's Heisman hype.

MSU might give you a tighter game than you'd expect. That's why they're called trap games. Their strength is run defense, perfect match for Arky's forte.

1 for 1 for 17 yards. And a 92 yard kickoff return for a TD.

Re-responding to the original question the thread poses... It seems like it's pretty much down to Ohio State vs. Michigan or USC.

Sounds like they are pulling for a OSU vs Michigan rematch for the BCS Championship.

Sounds like an SEC team is going to get screwed again.

Surprise, surprise.

Yea, they seem to be all over that re-match. If Rutgers is undefeated, or ND, USC, UF, or Arky has one loss, I would rather see any of them play OSU than Michigan.

If a one loss SEC team gets knocked out of the BCS by either Michigan or ND its time for the SEC to drop its nutsack and bolt from the BcS.

The team that ought to be most upset about talk of a rematch is Ohio State.

i wouldn't say that. The goal of the BCS is to still put the best two teams they come up with. OSU beat Michigan at the Shoe. I think a neutral site would make a different story. If Michigan is the best team behind OSU after everything sorts itself out, then so be it.

However, I think a one loss Florida or USC would get the nod over Michigan. No way can you put ND over Michigan though, and I think too many people remember Arkansas's opening game regardless of how different that team is. Mich has a fair argument

Michigan has a fair argument . . . but I don't think it's fair to OSU.

How anyone could defend our pathetic system is beyond me. In what sport is this ridiculous conversation even a possibility?

Might need to forget about Rutgers being a factor. Down 17-0 to Cincy in the 2nd qtr.

I agree. I mean you have to laugh at any SEC fan that is against a playoff system.

Yeah, that's just what the SEC needs. More tough games on our schedule to limp into. I love how often I hear about the injuries we get because our conference is so tough. Think how badly beat up we'd be trying to navigate the playoffs?

They could do away with the conference champ games and go straight to a playoff.

go ahead and laugh at me then... the best SEC will limp into a playoff system and get beat up. Look at basketball. how many times does one of the best two/three teams actually win? rarely. this year is a perfect example. no way was florida the actual best team. The BCS, while flawed, still makes every game a playoff and constant excitement throughout the year.

Hey guys I just thought that I would put in my two cents on the BCS. I am a Hog fan so I am biased towards my Razorbacks. If the Hogs do go 12-1 and don't make the title game because USC goes 12-1 I am going to be very upset. Yes they do have the head to head win on us, but they haven't played as tough a schedule as Arkansas. Arkansas has played and beaten then ranked #22 Alabama, #2 Auburn, #13 Tennessee. We still have to play #9 LSU and #4 Florida. That will give us 5 ranked wins with 3 coming in the Top Ten. No other team in the nation could post that kinda schedule. And it ticks me off because we will be left out because of a loss to #3 USC the first game of the year when we were unranked. It amazes me how it took 9 wins for us to break into the Top Ten and how USC lost 2 weeks ago to an unranked Oregon State and once again they are #3. Sounds like a little bias in the rankings to me. Well that is my rant for the week. WPS!
I think one way or another, the SEC CHAMP will be left out of the N/C game, period.Probably not fair but no one in the media seems to place them in their, and you know how the media dictates outcomes,ie. (PM-Heisman).

How was Florida not the best team?
