I've heard Chandlers and Calhouns have the best ribs in Knoxville. Have heard many recommend Calhouns, never heard of Chandlers....How good is this place? Any other great places?

Overall ribs here are terrible. Calhouns is not very good. Chandlers.... Ehh. Try Sweet P's or Dead End. Go to Dixons and get a pork burger.

Calhouns ribs are subpar at best. Never been to Chandlers. Lately I've been eating them from Archers BBQ on Kingston Pike out past Lovell rd and they are very good.

Depending on where you're coming from, you're gonna want to merge on to I-40 heading west, drive straight for roughly 370-90 miles, get off at the 240-split, take the Poplar exit, travel east to Germantown Rd. (take a right), and eat at the Germantown Commissary.

I would highly advise this- it will be a worthy the road trip.

Or Neely's, or Interstate BBQ....the Commissary is damn good though.

Buddies is what it is. Good cheap BBQ for pulled pork and sides and stuff. All you can eat ribs on Sat but nothing special. The best on Magnolia is Dixons but I have not been to the smoke pit yet so I can't speak for it. He is only open a few days a week. Chandlers is just way over rated IMO and they never have enough food.

too many miss this when discussing them. It's fast and used to feed a lot of people on the cheap. Won't win any awards but it serves a purpose

Sorry for you in Knoxville, but we have some good rib eateries up in the Tri-Cities. Firehouse in Johnson City, Bonefire and Phil's in Kingsport and Eats in Bristol.

I like Dead End, Dixon's, and M&M, but I swear since eating BBQ in Memphis nothing here quite measures up.
