Nix clicks!
That goofball Dyron Nix was in college when I was at TN. He was such a self-absorbed reject. I remember going to the bars and seeing him arrive - alone. Nobody talked to him - he was a posse of one. I had some friends on the basketball team at the time and they said that he thought he was great and so above all the other players. So they left him to admire himself. He was left to the one he loved most - himself.

Also, the idiot refused to play defense. I don't know what his problem was. He would make scoring moves inside. But, he wouldn't guard anybody. Ahhhh - the Devoe days bring back such fond memories of UT basketball.

Amen - his dad could flat GO OFF in a game.

Anyone remember the "bone" they found in the locker room that served as the team's good luck charm?

Loved TW and Fred Jenkins together.

He is a Sr. this year (I think). He's a 5-10 PG but he's putting up some monster #'s for the highly-ranked Bulldogs.

The bone was great. Someone was talking about that on talk radio not too long ago. I thiink they even had a video or a song.

I loved watching the wizard. I have a tape somewhere of that Auburn game (which I attended) where he scored 51.

Like father, like son.

January 21, 2006

It was a wild Friday night at Bearden High School, and Tony White Jr. went crazy with the basketball.

White, a senior point guard, scored a career-high 51 points and led Bearden to a 74-64 victory over rival Farragut in a District 4-AAA boys' basketball game.

I have heard from some scouts that him and Pearl's son are both not suppose to be D1 talent, but i'm sure we'd give them a walk on spot.
