My son plays with Enrique @ baylor. I watched every game this year, and I saw noone even close to this kid. He kills the ball and is very accurate. I know one of the kids on the team has a dad that played OL for Bama and they are sending BAMA a lot of tape on Henrique trying to get him to Bama. We have another kicker that is a sophomore that is a lot like him, but has a better work ethic. My son said the sophomore hit a 60 yarder in practice and has never kicked a football before.

Bama already has Adamn Griffith out of Calhoun, and he's the number 2 kicker in the nation. Get them to send Henrique our way, we sure could use him. Bullock is nowhere near Ribeiro in terms of kicking talent.

So why did the staff want Bullock when this kid is available? Just because he was a soccer player, not a lifetime football player? Best kickers come from soccer. We had a German exchange student at high school this year that had never kicked a football that hit a 45 yard field goal within the first week of football season.

6'0" 220 is pretty heavy for a soccer player. He may be good, it's just not a typical build even for a defender.

Possibly could have something to do with the fact that Bullock will walk on and not take up a spot in this class.

Not only did national signing day come and go with out Ribeiro signing a national letter of intent, the two-month signing period may go by without it. Baylor coach Phillip Massey said Ribeiro is the best kicker he’s coached in his 26 years...

“He is definitely a Division I kicker,” [James]
Wilhoit said. “One of the things you find with kickers and punters, its about being in the right place at the right time. Opportunities are limited.

“He’s just slipped through the cracks and is a little bit of an underdog story, which is ridiculous considering the amount of talent he has.”

Baylor’s Henrique Ribeiro waiting for chance

Yeah, I did a little more digging on him back a couple of months ago. There was concern about a perceived poor work ethic; the fact that his style is so raw and he kicks the ball extremely low. But with all that said, I am still surprised someone didn't roll the dice on him. If he is really serious about wanting to be a kicker, he may need to walk on somewhere and then earn a scholly after a year.

Does anyone know if Ben Ogle signed anywhere?

Not trying to be argumentative, but I WATCHED him kick against Bradley Central last fall. I didn't watch him in any other games--but he didn't kick it LOW in that game. His kicks were high and long--and you could hear the impact his foot made with the ball.

His 57 yarder was high and hit the crossbar before bouncing over... I've personally never seen a high school kicker kick better than him--and I saw John Becksvoort kick in Chattanooga--and he was pretty good for the Vols--but not near as good as this guy from Baylor.

Tthe kid from Farragut will be a D1 prospect next year. Maybe we should take the 2* and coach them up because we suck on getting the best and coaching them down

The low comment came from a team that played them in 2011. I watched him in the State finals and was very impressed. He certainly had a unique style and I did not notice him being low. I did not see him live so I defer to your judgment.

So, why do you think that he didn't get a scholly? I really don't know the reason.

Dooley and staff are going to look really stupid if Bullock is as average as he was his senior year while this guy dropped down to UTC.
