Me and my 8yo have been a couple times. He absolutely loves it, and I'm not gonna lie, I had a pretty good time too. It is a laser-tag game, they have one arena or whatever its called. <b>The arena is probably 3500sqft or so, with a few hallways, crates, boxes etc... to hide behind and snipe from. </b> They use military MILES gear lasers, similar to what soldiers train with. Not quite as high quality, but far better than any other laser-tag I've played before.
The guns are great, there's a variety to choose from, from sniper rifles and M-4's (with a grenade launcher lol), to videogame style (HALO), to handguns. I think all the guns are select-fire; full-auto or semi-auto. The guns are fairly well detailed, you have to "reload" when you run out of ammo, the guns have reloading sound effects and it takes a good 5 seconds or so to reload. And the guns are roughly the size and weight of the real thing. The sniper rifle is a good 10 pounds, has an optical scope, the M4 is a good 5 pounds, and all the guns except the sniper rifle have red-dot style holographic sights.
It's obvious the place is new, the arena is very bare-bones, but in the week between our first and second visit they had done a good bit of work adding to it. If they stay open I can see them doing pretty well. Really the only weak spot is the lack of "decorating" in the arena.
It's a good way to entertain the kiddo for an hour or so. 25 bucks should get you a good hour of play, thats $25 for 2 people.
Oh, one tiny little detail, the referees are all 18-25 year old girls. Mostly brunettes. And every one is better-than-average looking, a couple are flat out gorgeous. Tight little t-shirts and shorty shorts. Yummy.
And no, I'm not affiliated with the place in any way.
