Battlefield: BC2

They moved the MCOMs outside of the buildings on White Pass rush, so the defenders actually have a chance, rather than the attackers just collapsing the buildings with rockets.

No new maps yet, although I'm the only one who cares about them

Well, all I'm going to say is Holy ****.

The maps are great, I've only played the Rush ones, plus a couple games of Conquest on Harvest Day.

Cold War and Oasis show that Dice just kicks the CoD series in the balls on smaller maps, as well as bigger ones. Cold War is a trip, high intensity house to house fighting makes up a good portion of it, to where me and dude were doing "you throw, I cover" grenade drills clearing buildings on the attack.

Really, if you have the game, check them out. I realize it's the anti CoD as you have dust and ballistics to account for, but still, it's sweet.

Yep. Im done for the night though, looking at a utility pole laying in my neighbors yard.

Downloaded the new map pack 7 and vietnam update(which I am not sure what it changed) and I still like the game. It is a good change of pace from COD.

Did you end up taking care of your neighbors pole?

haha funny. Not my racket anymore.

It's going to take a while for the new maps to play as they are intended to, a whole lot of chopper whoring going around, combined with people who don't try to shoot down choppers.

And the idiots we all love who leave vehicles unattended so an enemy can slip in and take them.

If you shoot a dude with the flamethrower in the back does he die in a big fireball? 'Cause that would be awesome.

Have to say I'm pretty impressed. I've played mainly Conquest, due to the massiveness of the maps, and playing with randoms i've ended up in squads with 3 snipers, which makes it pretty hard to advance on the crates.

The flamethrower is a primary weapon, which is good, I was worried they'd make it an auxiliary deal, haven't used it yet, but have gotten torched a few times. I've played all the maps but 1, I can't figure out which one since I don't pay any attention to the names, but they are typical dice maps, big and very detailed, with lots of things to destroy, other than 1 where half is like World War 1 scorched earth.

If you like Battlefield it's a must get, for sure.

Just a note that it is an actual expansion, not a seperate game like 1943 was. So all the kit unlocks you had on BC2 carry over to the game, as well as the stats for the guns that are in Nam and BC2, the WW2 guns, RPG, Mines, Mortars.

Yep. I'm jackin off to this ****. It's built like a battlefield game, it takes squad work and cooperation, really made more of a "battlefield" game than the original maps did.

The weapons aren't rebalanced for the era, the more or less all suck equally, compared to the slick H&K shooters in the base game that fired true to life.

CoD is laugh tracks and fart jokes, BC2V is a legitimate team FPS.

I have the Nam expansion for the PC. Pretty good add-on. Very few bugs.

On-line the little kid snipers and flame throwers are a bit too much. In all a good add-on.

Been playing this again lately. Forgot how much better this game is than the cod series.

So the servers are broken, and EA doesn't seem to know how to unbreak them. All the games are 2v2 or 5v5, waste of time. Morons.

I have started playing the again as well after a while away from it. So much more fun to me than COD, but they are different games. I also purchased the Vietnam expansion and I am very very happy with it. The feel and enviroments are amazingly done. Similar gameplay to that of the basic BF:BC2, but the new weapons and sounds and music are what make it for me. The PSSH is my weapon of choice :)

Hopefully they have fixed the spawn camping in Vietnam. In one game I was killed eight times in a roll. They player learned all the spawn points and would wait ten feet away to kill me every time I would spawn.
