Thats a no-brainer IMO. Switch is a great "companion" console, but for all the mainstream titles, youre much better off with a PS5/PS5 Pro or PC.
The thing is I am not going to have the time for a lot of time-intensive gaming (if any at all) starting in November-ish, since I'll have a baby then, so I thought upgrading my Switch would get me generally what I want with portability and ability to just pick up Nintendo games.

I'll probably get the PS5 (or Switch 2 if I go PS5 route) next spring anyway. The old Switch will go to my mom and the PS4 to my nephew in Peru.

Is this your first baby? Dont worry, youll have plenty of time to game. Babies sleep a lot. šŸ˜€

Didn’t they have a legendary failure on their last release? I’ve been out of the loop with this franchise for some time now.

I haven’t played since BF4. I had a group of friends that were pretty active on it with me. Ever since the group kind of fell apart I never tried another battlefield. This looks like a good time to get back into it.

BF 2042 was not great when it first came out, but after all the patches, man it is a great game. I mean there is no single player campaign or anything. it's classic capture the flag, push, a couple of other modes. Just multiplayer or vs bots. I think it's a gorgeous game and really enjoyed it after all the bugs were worked out.
