It's an objective based game, not that COD isn't, but it seems to have a more mature player base, whereas folks are *generally* more concerned with winning than stat padding.
There's 4 classes, each with a general role, medic/engineer/support/recon and you can customize quite a bit between those roles.
Games are variable length, depends really on the quality of the teams. An ass kicking will end faster than a closely fought match. And you really get a huge benefit to working with your squad, as opposed to lone wolfing it. A squad of mediocre players working together can be very effective, if they keep working as a team.
This has become my biggest gripe with COD. IMO the addition of advanced stat tracking has done more to take the fun out of online gaming than any single factor. Of the tiny percentage of players who still play with mics, all you ever hear them babbling about is their stupid K/D ratio. They could care less whether they ever actually win a game or not so long as the protect that one precious stat.
