So you like everything.

Yeah. Everything, it's an actual military style shooting game.

Bf4 looks glorious. I'm wondering how the commander mode is going to work out also. I hope it allows the users to take control of the game modes more and customize them. Personally I'd like to play rush without Helicopters, jets, and etc. at certain times. On console, it takes away players that should be on the ground with the limited number of 24.

Iirc commander is basically an overall leader who sets objectives, controls field artillery, and such.

The videos of this game from E3 look amazing. However, I thought the same thing when I saw the gameplay previews for BF3, but after playing the online beta I decided to take a pass. As a long time COD player, I just couldn't stand the ungodly big maps. I enjoy the constant action that COD offers, and it seemed like 95% of my time in BF was spent just running in the direction of the fighting, and then once I got near any action, just found myself wanting to lay still and camp so as to not die and be forced into the long run again. There's a lot things BF does really well, such as the destructible environments, amazing looking graphics, and an overall feel of more realism than the COD series, but I've just never been able to pull the trigger on $60 for a game that I know I'm almost certainly just going to beat the campaign and then be done with. Have they released any sort of info about the multiplayer for BF4? Is there any hope for people like me who enjoy the more frenetic small maps or is it just going to be the same old monstrosities from the previous game?

Eh. At this point I'm not too worried about the old game. With XBOne coming out in a few months, I imagine GTA V will be the last game I buy for my 360. I'm still trying to work my way through the last few prestiges on Black Ops 2, and finish some of the challenges on that. With as busy as I am with work during the summer, and the Braves season in full swing, that alone will probably occupy just about all the video game time I have till GTA's release.

An online beta would be cool for BF4, but with it releasing simultaneously with the new consoles, I'm sure there won't be a public one. I'm still giving BF4 some serious consideration in the fall. IW is doing the next COD, and if it's not massively better than the disastrous MW3, I probably won't be buying it.

Not sure which system or which gen I will buy this on.

You don't run as far if you have a squad. The game us about team play. COD is a kiddie game compared to BF.

Agree. COD is "what you see is what you get". In a way, you actually have to earn the right the get the best possible experience out of Battlefield.

Totally agree with this. You can't even really compare the two because one is an action sim and the other an arcade game.
