Recently picked this up due to a gaming friend's insistence.

Have to say, BF3 is much more fun than BO2.

I'm terrible with planes, but I had a small celebration the first time I shot down another aircraft (helicopter).

Ended up having a 10 hour marathon with a couple of friends on Monday. Been a while since I had a video game headache from wearing the headset for a long time.

Double XP weekend, I'll be getting close to my **** bucket. Then I'll probably hang myself out of embarrassment.

After playing Battlefield 3 for a month now, the gameplay is far superior to BO2 imo.

But the team balancing/playing with friends sucks compared to BO2. In COD you can stay in a group with friends when joining/leaving a server or stay together on the same team after joining a server.

The team balancing is my main gripe. That's one thing that COD did well. At least much better than BF3 if there is any at all. I've joined a game midway and it put me on the team that had 12 people when the other team had 7. And I've realized it's pretty common that when a team starts losing people will try to switch teams to the other team. Which will cause the team to lose even worse and then those that can't switch teams will leave the server. Playing games where it's 13 against 6 is a waste. Or people will just switch teams so they have a super stacked team against a team of new players.

Personally I think team swapping is an awful option for the reasons above. I realize they made it this way intentionally, but it's just frustrating is all.

I've had this game for months but I'm just now picking it up (got it at a yard sale for like 15 bucks!)

I feel much shame - this is way better that BLOPS2 - the complexity and challenging gameplay minimizes the number of booger-eaters you'll run into.

Definitely looking to squad-up with some VN'ers - this game ain't as much fun rolling solo.

I figure its to let people trickle into a game with their friends, rather than having to find a server with X number of spots to join.

I don't think that team switching itself is a huge problem, though I'd like if they made an effort to balance the teams after each match (Without breaking up squads, of course)
