Battle at Bristol

I'm confused. I received no email, checked spam, nothing, yet I went to Bristol Motor Speedway acct I set up and it says I have 4 seats, section G46, 5-6-7-8 seats. Is that generic for the deposit or did I get lucky? Guess I'll call Monday. Fingers crossed for being lucky!

I remember paying like 50.00 per ticket to university when game was announced to reserve my tickets. I need to check on that next week. I just assumed they would offer them as away game tickets like they do every year.

what a rip off for you guys. seriously who the **** uses a ticket lottery? tennessee fans who want to pay for this should be able to have access...whoever derived the lottery idea is a ****ing moron.

there will be 180,000 tickets available. they will all of a sudden have a general availability sooner or later, theres no way this thing is sold out.

this is like watching the frenzy for iphones on a launch day. theres never enough allotment at first then all of a sudden out of nowhere 200 iphones come out of nowhere. supply and demand. marketing creates a frenzy.

This is my line of thinking when I saw people posting about scalpers... There is no way 160k tickets have been sold

Went to Bristol for the 1 day sale. About 5000 people came. Everyone could buy 4 tickets. After standing in line for 7 hours I got 4.With the tickets they gave each school I think the number was 50000. Both schools sold out several months ago. If it's not sold out its close very close. I will sell 2 for the right price. I only need 2

I'm unsure why the need to rain on anyone's parade...but I simply filled out a form online, from the comfort of my own home, and was chosen. There was no frenzy. It was not labor intensive. But I'm thrilled that I have tickets with little to minimum effort. GBO!

You people all are really funny worrying about tickets in a venue that holds 160K+ people. UT will end up with 20K more to sell next spring when the season ticket holders who reserved seats decide not to buy them.

Actually they have sold so many they are having trouble filling the corporate ticket allotment. So to answer your question yes it is sold out already

Oh it's going to be a sell out, but what I'm worried about is that a lot of the Bristol ticket holders bought tickets to scalp them. Bristol doesn't care as long as they get their money but it does affect a lot of fans.

I agree but, me being a Bristol ticket holder and not a UT season ticket holder, I'm glad they did! I promise I won't be scalping mine!

What's the right price? I just need two for myself and my dad. He will turn 70 a few days before the game and I would like to take him. He took me to games when I was a kid even though it was a stretch for him financially, including the Auburn game in 1986. If you still have them and are serious, let me know how I can contact you. Thanks. Go Vols!

I could have bought some through VT website but didn't want to sit with Hokies. I figured surely I could get some with lotto. I guessed wrong.

They are annoying but I dont think there will be as many as you think there. They are social fans they only like VT football when its good because its a fun social event for them. Its a regional program and thats why you get a high school environment on Saturdays in Blacksburg.

Got the 2 I requested. Like others have said, in the end I can't imagine that this is going to be that though a ticket. Still, I'm somewhat surprised by the number/percentage of rejection emails in this thread. Good luck to everyone still searching.

Strangest distribution of tickets I have ever seen. Why give first priority to season race ticket holders who live all over the country. Why would a Bristol season ticket holder who lives in Michigan care to come to the Battle at Bristol.
