Personally, I think the way they have allotted the tickets is complete BS & a cluster****...
Why not give season ticket holders a 2-3 month window to order their allotment and then put the rest up for sale. But they are including the Bristol raceway ticketholders(which is fine) and having a lottery etc. It's not the best way of going about it
My lucky day! Got the email 20 min ago saying I was selected. I got 4!
From the email:
Here's what you need to know:
The $5 per ticket deposit you placed to enter the lottery will be applied toward your ticket purchase.
Your seats will be assigned at random. Seats will be assigned in the $80, $50 and $40 areas. Tennessee state sales tax will be added to the total ticket price.
You will be charged for the remaining balance along with a $15 shipping fee in the next two weeks (by Nov. 27, 2015).
The credit/debit card that you used to enter the lottery will be charged automatically for the remaining balance of your seats.
Exact seat locations will be sent prior to the April 2016 NASCAR Event Weekend (April 15-17).
Your tickets will be shipped in July 2016.
GBO!!!
What's the total # of tickets printed? Can you buy them at the gate? I would think when trying to set the record, they wouldn't ever cut it off. Have an area for standing room only somewhere in the infield. The facilities are huge, plenty of room for everybody. Can you tailgate in turn 2?
Go Vols!
The way I understood it from the sales office, they were allotted in the following order. Each one had a set period of time to order. Once all these deadlines passed, the remaining tickets were awarded by the lottery.
1. Each school was allotted a set # of tickets (not sure how many)
2. Bristol season ticket holders
3. Bristol single race ticket holders
4. Lottery
What I really don't like is, to my knowledge, nobody knows their seat locations yet.
The good news (not for some of you) is that it must be a sellout if rejection letters are being sent.
BTW, I got 4 as a Bristol single race ticket holder. Can't wait!! Go VOLS!!!
