wow, seeing Neyland Stadium fit inside bristol like that is amazing.
I am still deciding whether to go to this game or not. I am an usher at UT and I can work the bristol game and they will bus us up there and back from Knoxville. I can't decide if I want to just watch it at home and enjoy it or go to the game and risk not being able to see it very good. I don't know what area I would be working in, I could have a great view or not.
I just do not see how anyone can see anything if seated on the same side that camera is on, even if on first few rows other than watching on jumbotron. It would be cool just to be there though, so I guess if have to watch on jumbroton it would be worth it.
The camera is clearly mounted over the top of something. Neyland looks similar from the top of the video board, but no one has that view on game day.
I noticed it was probably mounted on last row, but still. Look at how far even the front row seats are from the field on that part of the track!!!!!!!!!!
Plus there is a building on that part of the field in line of view, so I do not know how you could see over it.
I thought for half time entertainment they could have had a 50 lapper allstar type race! :rock:Because nascar will never see this size crowd again!
Hmm, I disagree. The popularity is just as big as it has been if not more. As a season ticket holder to Daytona, Bristol, Talladega and frequent other tracks its coming back. The race at Bristol a couple of weeks ago was one of the best in years due to SMI's work on the lower groove of the track. The "bump and run" reappeared and the comments from everyone in attendance was really positive. Other than the rain I enjoyed it as one of the best Ive been to there in a long time.

what is going to happen to the turf after the battle at bristol and the game the following week?
It seems like it would be a shame just to trash it, and i don't know that all of the tractor trailers can be driving on it for the races (perhaps they can I don't know).
Can it be donated to a local high school or similar?
seems a waste just for two games...even if it will be epic
Then why all the empty seats?
Mostly due to the rain. Most out of towners don't make plans for staying an extra day. I know a bunch of locals who didn't go Sunday cause it was pouring down at the beginning. Then it cleared up.
