Update: Dave Hart has confirmed the Vols will be wearing the traditional orange and white, will link once I am able.

When do y'all think we announce what our uniforms will be and what do you think they will look like? I'm hoping for the traditional orange tops and white pants but just figured this could be something fun to discuss since its close.


I created this thread because VT has apparently unveiled their uniforms for that game via one of their recruits, which I assumed would be against the rules. For those who want to see them here is the link.

Looks like I'm watching a B&W TV looking at those uniforms.

Can't say I dislike them, but I'm sure I'll like whatever Tennessee wears better.

Kind've what I thought. VT fans are going nuts over them but I think they're just pretty bland looking. Nothing about that uniform screams VT to me.

I would assume they wear orange and white but with some type of small tweak from the standard home uniform. This is a huge game and Nike is absolutely going to want to do something special. I wouldn't expect anything drastic though.

VT wearing their road game unis while we (hopefully) dress in our home uniform seems fitting considering the turnout..

They can wear gold if they want... Doesn't change the fact that Tennessee is gonna beat them like a drum.

They will most likely wear some sort of alt uniform for this game. Nike will showcase their brand and show something special for both teams. For those that only want traditional unis no matter what, well, get ready for it or get over it, it's coming. I was thinking that they would use the smokey gray as well but since VT is apparently wearing gray then that means we will most likely be wearing orange............or maybe even..........dare I say it............. black. Jk it will probably be orange

I doubt it will be the traditional uniform, because A) it will be the highest attendance for a college football game ever and B) Nike is our supplier. To wear the normal gear is leaving lots of money on the table to Nike. They will want to sell replicas.

If it is going to be revealed early, I expect it within 10 days from today. However, they might keep it under wraps better than the black jerseys, and just run out in them at the game.

All I hope for is they don't Oregon it up.

Hokie fans are blowing up the message boards about the uni's. Some like them and some don't. There biggest complaint is no Chicago Maroon.

They are made to resemble "Hokie Stone". Also stated that they would be a good contrast on TV to what Tennessee will be wearing..and hinted to all Vol Orange. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but this is what is being said.

#1 recruit in VA..Devon Hunter was the person that debuted / gave the sneak peak on Twitter. He is in Blacksburg on an Unofficial visit.

Heh, we should wear our home orange & white, but with our jerseys modified in one way: race stripe down the left side, over the heart. Nod to the venue. :)
