I like to be a good sport and I don't like to say I HATE anything but, I HATE VT. Always have and always will.
No respect for a team that built a reputation beating chumps.
On top of that, if you can remember the last time TN played VT, TN fans posted about how rude and obnoxious VT fans were at the game.

Pump the brakes a little ice. Our head coach was rude and obnoxious at the time. That has to at least be enough for a draw.

You would need a telescope to see the players

I had to work at the Speedway in Lights event at the track one day in December on the track midfield area. The view won't be bad at all. The track might be 30 ft wide but it is so steep the seats are still very close to the midfield. Then the stands are almost straight. I didn't buy tickets for that reason and wish I would have.

Gameday will be there. Would be nice if it was a ranked game so it would garner even more attention. With it being a record breaking game for attendance i would hope so large media outlets will be there.

I live about 5 miles from the Tn.-Va. state line. Fifteen years ago most of the football fans in southwest Va. were Vol fans. When Tennessee started falling on hard times we started seeing all these people coming out of Virginia wearing VT caps. Just in the past year we're starting to see a few Tennessee caps on those heads again. Maybe after the Bristol Bash the transformation will be complete.

I live right across from the track and worked In the suites for 8 or so years as a bartender.I dont think the view will be that big of an issue at all.I assume if u were at the very top of the track u would have an issue, but even then I wouldnt see it as a big problem.I mean just the atmosphere itself would be worth the price of admission,if its half as crunk as the races around here were going to be in for a helluva good time!!

hopefully we can remember it as a win and not a loss. a loss would be inexcusable and would be horrible.

Wow!...first in line for the Jump Off The Cliff Worrywart ride. :scare:

It is the 2nd game in 2016 UT plays Appy State 1st game and VT plays Liberty so both will be 1 and 0. Hopefully both ranked. Does anybody know if they have set a time for kickoff ?

Hopefully VT fans show up better than Iowa fans so we can fill the stadium. Although, it's possible for TN to fill all 160k.

I don't think you have to worry about that...It's circled on their calendar at least on the tricities VT fans for sure. It's going to be a huge game for them as well. They'll be super motivated. The Iowa fans in Jacksonville looked like they were surprised that an actual football game was being played. It will be forever etched in my mind the look on the Iowa fans faces when the UT buses rolled in amid a police escort and blaring sirens and thousands of screaming fans! VT will show up in force!

Also, as small as Lane Stadium is, it'll be the first game many VT fans actually get to attend. And, with it being at a NASCAR venue at least they'll know where the game is being held! Ha

I would like to see Virginia Tech have a good year next year so that maybe this a battle between two top 10 or top 15 teams. A battle between two top five teams would be great, but that may be asking too much.

I can't wait to be a part of it! Not a bad seat in the place! Hope it's like the bowl game and we outnumber the Hokies 12 to 1. Go Vols!

You do know that VT is the only team to beat the GREAT URBAN MEYER this year??? If we played them this year and they had the same team on the field that beat Ohio State (not the team at the end of the year where they lost 11 starters), they would kill us!! We are a finesse team and wouldn't be able to match up to them at all. Mark my word...we could lose ugly in 2016!
