Definitely gave me a lot of pride in our Country, our State, and our university. Folks saluting, the military members at attention, excellent rendition of the national anthem without overdoing it...gives me a chill every time I watch this.

I thought it was amazing. Held my sign a little closer to my face because I didn't want my wife to see me with watery eyes. I know it's corny, but we are so divided now, it was great to see 157k people be one and sing and celebrate our great country a day before an anniversary of one of our darkest days.

We did another one where their side spelled out Hokies and we did Vols...I don't think it worked as well..the cues didn't seem synced right in the different sections.

It looked good on TV. Not sure what you saw at the venue.

After the first "card stunt"... the cue appeared to begin #2 ,,,, no one paid much attention on our side (Tennessee side), all you had to do was turn the stupid paper over and stay seated.... Mr. Peach and I participated and when the cue was gone, we folded our cards up.... People didn't seem interested at all in #2.. we were seated JJ D Row 3... too bad more didn't participate in #2..

There were supposed to be "stunt coordinators". I saw them when we got in, but when it came time to do the stunts, they were no where. So our section knew when to do the first stunt (the flag etc.), but for the second stunt no one was there to cue. We held up our cards, but it was obviously disorganized. Only bad miss I saw on Bristol Speedway's part. Everything else was pretty good.

But I could tell stories on Lady's Equipment Parking. Paid $50, got a stamped receipt, paid stamped hang tag, and then got told it was first come first served....I felt like they were stealing people's money by selling something they had no intention of providing. I had a friend get in with a second pass and save us a spot. Then when we got there I pretty much bluffed my way in. Saw at least one car turned away with a "paid" hangtag, and there was another one behind us that did get not in the gate as far as I could tell. He actually had it gated and barricaded. Had to move stuff to let us in. Never park there again and want to warn others to not trust Lady Equipment to deliver on what they take your money to provide.

Note: called Bristol Chamber of Commerce when he first told me, two days before the game, that it was first come first served and even though you had paid months ago they would not have you a spot. The Bristol Chamber of Commerce could not care less. Pretty poor showing for the city of Bristol...small town/small time losers I guess.

Oh, and NO. There was nothing said when I bought the pass, nothing on the receipt, and nothing on the paid hang tag that said anything about first come first served and paid hang tag was no good for a parking space.

How about the lady singing.. She sang the music notes almost to the letter as it is written. Did not try to make a show production out of it. Has a great voice too.
With you 100% on this one...hate when they try and sauce it up.

I was terrified that this would happen to us too. Checking into hotel, pulling into prepaid parking, walking into stadium.. Every step of the trip I was just waiting for someone to turn us away with some total BS excuse, but thank god it all worked out for us. At least you were one of the lucky ones that still were able to park.

When did it happen exactly? I'll try to find it on my recording.

It was right after the first one to go with the anthem...we were supposed to stand with the first and sit down and flip the cards for the 2nd...I saw it for just a second to see that it was Vols and Hokies but it was gone that quick

anybody got any video of the halftime show they can share

The Anthem and halftime alone was worth the money, the game, win and pre/post game stuff made it even better. The video doesnt even do it justice. I couldnt help but have a tear in my eye when the crowd was singing along.

Maybe the best national anthem opening I've ever seen. My daughter asked me why my eyes were getting wet.

The National Anthem WAS Spectacular...and moving.

But, I HAVE to say...that Lee Greenwood's God Bless The U.S.A....while wearing a ROCKY TOP Nike T-Shirt...with The Pride of The Southland Marching Band...was JUST as moving for me.

*NOT mine^^^ just found it on YouTube for those that weren't there

Sorry it took me a minute. Pic of the TV with my phone. Not great, but maybe you can tell how good it looked.
