But they were competitive against the #2 ranked school, the football team can't even compete with VANDERBILT granted they are better than we are used to but we are talking about 2 evenly matched teams and getting out coached and outplayed.

No doubt about that... and honestly, it's been that way for about 12 years now. The basketball program has been consistently better than football since Pearl's 1st season.

I just dont understand and dare I say this team offensively is worse than last year? Both scheme wise and fundamentally? Or is that too far?

Scheme wise... I like what we are trying to do. We just don't have the players to execute. It's fair to question the play calling at times... but whatever we are running, we are going to need better players.

Good players or not we should be able to go toe to toe with just Vanderbilt. If we really need better players to just compete with vandy then I'd hate to break it to you another national title is a fantasy.
