Rob Lanier is going to follow up and have a home visit with De'Riante Jenkins tonight on the heels of his official visit. I think Tennessee is in really good shape there after the weekend. Don't know that he's ready to pull the trigger before finishing up his visits but I wouldn't completely rule it out.

Also expecting Rick Barnes to be in Atlanta tomorrow to visit with Josh Okogie after his visit and also to make some school visits to see 2017 prospects Rayshawn Hammonds and Lance Thomas in Norcross. Barnes will also see Grant Williams this week as well as John Fulkerson among others.

Thank you, and I'd be tickled if he decided to be a Vol. However, if the last decade has taught me nothing, its to be cautiously optimistic. Haha

Fulkerson was a take a month ago when the visits were planned, it's very possible he didn't think he could make it in for Arkansas weekend but now will be able to.

Yes that's possible as I have posted as well.

It's also possible the staff wants both at the same time so they can say it's first come first serve for one spot.

IMO it's not either of those two things.


I think the visit is moved up to allow more time for pushing Bruner if Fulkerson should say no. The sooner all the other decisions are made then a decision on Bruner can be decided by the staff. That is the only point my opinion is based on.

And if Fulkerson doesn't decide that weekend and wants to take a few visits? That's why I've said Williams/Okogie/Bruner are the only ones competing for a spot imo, Fulkerson and Jenkins have one regardless.

Ok. That's fine but moving up that visit allows for all that to happen sooner. That is my point.

Funny thing is I questioned the visit timing over the past month for just this reason. Now maybe it's just coincidence and only a scheduling issue with no other meaning. We will likely never know.

Now if Bruner's visit gets pushed back then I will feel very confident my opinions is correct

Williams visiting Princeton is Not a good sign. On the surface it looks like he is Ivy League bound

If he doesn't visit Princeton I will go to 60/40 on the negative side

I think if he was going to be a vol he likely already would have done so

I agree. I think the kid wants to come to Tennessee. I get the sense his Mom is the reason he's looking at the Ivy schools. If his Mom relents on Tennessee, Williams will come here. Now, since he's only 17, he needs her signature on anything. So, it could get tricky if she really wants him at an Ivy League school. If I had to bet, since she's a NASA engineer, I'd say that's how Princeton came into the picture. They play good basketball and have top notch STEM offerings.
