At 2-2 in conf play, could just as easily be 0-4 or 4-0, what do you guys think we finish under T Jones 8 games and overall for the 16 games in sec play? I say T Jones goes 6-2 and we finish 11-5 overall. Should be no worse than a 5 seed in tourney with our sos & quality wins. Especially after we clinch the Big East championship vs Uconn.

We need to go 6-2 under Tony Jones, but Alabama won't be easy, and we often struggle in Oxford for some reason (I think that's the only SEC location in which Pearl has never won). But that 6-2 mark is important, because the schedule is pretty backloaded. Both games against Kentucky, home leg against Georgia, road legs against Florida and Vandy, and both games against Carolina (who has been showing some fight recently). 4-3 in that stretch (plus a win over MSU) would be quite respectable.

Its so hard to predict when and where this TN team is going to show up. Luckily for TJones and the team the second half of the Jones era is, on paper at least, a little easier than the first 4 games. The win over UGA covers the Arkansas loss, and bama beating UK was huuuuuge for the SEC east landscape. I will say this, in Pearl's 2nd year the Vols started 1-3 in SEC play but finished the season with what should have been a win against Greg Oden and the Buckeyes in Sweet 16. The team will continue to gel and will play well down the stretch.

I think we can win the next 4 SEC games. We need to play up to our ability to do so, but I think it happens.

I think a reasonable goal would be to win 20 games in the regular season.
