Do they have a final rankings in college basketball? If so, when do they come out?

given the fact that the vols finished in the sweet 16, they should be in the top 16 in the final rankings

You might want to try the argument that Tenn only lost by 1 basket to Ohio State in the Sweet 16, and OSU lost to Florida in the Championship, and Tennessee beat Florida during the regular season 3 out of the last 4 times. Plus Tennessee has Bruce Pearl. Therefore, Tennessee should be No. 1. :unsure:

Seriously though, I think your reasoning might contain an invalid argument. :(

wow, unbelievable, the coaches, who have been dissing Tennessee all season in the rankings, did not even put them in the final top 25!!! after they had the national runner-up on the ropes in the sweet 16, they are not even ranked. unbelievable. there must be a lot more coaches out there than i thought who hate Bruce Pearl.

again, the fact that we decide the champ on the court would seem to make this entire debate moot.

You must be reading a different article. The one I read stated that the Vols were #18 in the final poll.

I'm just saying.

It might not matter as much as saying we got to the sweet 16, but if you have consecutive years finishing in the top 20, can you tell recruits it's a top 20 program?

That would probably be worthwhile.
