Exactly... I've heard interviews with him saying how sorry he was that it happened, and you could tell he truly meant it... Plus like you said, he would have us back quicker than anyone, it would fire up most of the fan base, the current players, and recruits.. he'd have us back in the mix in no time...I'm with you 100% Hoss. Kiffin is my first choice by a mile. I don't like what he did but I get it. He was young and USC was his dream. He's older now and I truly believes he misses Knoxville. He'd have us back sooner than most here think.

Yes he would win and in the losses they would be tolerable because we wouldn't get our doors blow off. But no he wont get an interview because some people cant forgive. For instance people who shadily committed fraud with with fuwl rebates for truckers. They asked for forgiveness from public but double standard hold Kiffin leaving the way he did. Its a dang shame.Kiffin would win here and do it quickly. Will he get an interview ?

Fulmer started this mess by thinking he was bigger than the program! If he would have recruited better he would still be the coach. Lane will bring swag back to Ktown and be here for years to come. Phil wanted to be AD after the 1998 NC and was worried his assistant coaches might have made a better HC than him. Could not handle that and that's why I feel he thinks he's bigger than the program. Lane Train all the way baby!Do yall seriously not realize what caused ALLLLLLLLL of this crap. I mean our AD didnt help anything in 2009 but jesus. Its not like were talking about hiring Saban or Bellicheck here. Is he a good offensive coach? Ofcourse, thats not worth restarting this 12 year disaster we've been dealing with since he rolled out last time though. If he would leave ole miss like a thief in the night what makes you think for a second he wouldnt do it to us. He 100% would just for the Trolling he could do on twitter alone lol...... and rightfully so. We're gluttons for punishment
I can see him doing the same thing to Ole Miss as he did to us.
If he is advocating himself for the job at UT, he hasn't changed. He's done it before (to us), apparently would be willing to do it again (to Ole Miss). Why wouldn't he do it a 3rd time (us again), if we hired him away from Mississippi?
That's not even mentioning the shady crap he and his staff pulled on us as they were heading out the door.
It's like an ex who who left for one of your buddies, then did it again to another guy later on. Would you give her another chance when she realizes you were better than them in the first place? Have a little dignity. . .
This is dumb the White's will stake there name to Kiffin and have.I hear what you're saying, but when you say "we need to manage him carefully" it's misleading because it will be White's job to manage him. White might actually agree with fans who say Kiffin would get us a winning record and better recruits faster, but Kiffin's history is unmistakable: he'll be out the door in 3 years or less, or we'll be under sanctions, or both.
That means it will be White's job, once again, to hire another football coach. Fans will be calling for his firing, because fans. Imo, it would be dumb for White to stake his reputation on Kiffin when he has shown he can make great hires at Buffalo and UCF. Now that White is in the SEC and has the budget, he might be able to keep them.
We'll see what happens, but by approaching Lance Liepold (a hire he made at Buffalo), it appears White is taking the long view.
