I'm stuck in a meeting today at an office where everyone listens to Basilio. He is absolutely detonating the students for not picking up their full allotment of tickets. One caller just compared UT students to those at ETSU who voted against the restoration of football.

per Basilio show. 1,400 student tickets for Bama go on sale at 7pm.

EDIT : please merge into Hat's thread or delete this one. He beat me to it.

Its hard to feel sorry for them having to pay that 90 bucks, with Bama coming to Neyland and 1500 tickets unclaimed.

You better put a product on the field worth watching if you're going to sell tickets to the game.

I mean, against NIU I can understand, but against BAMA? Come on guys, this boycott thing has gotten out of hand

Morale is so low on campus, it is stifling. Everyone just makes basketball season jokes whenever football comes up. I like not being quite as squeezed in the student section, though. Easier to get the alcohol in, too.

That reminds me, I need to go and pick up my ticket.

Mixed feelings here. On one hand, I can understand the lack of enthusiasm for this football team, and having to pay for the tickets. Other hand...we're playing Bammer for crying out loud. The students should have a bit more pride and recognize the deep tradition of this ball game.

Well if they called a boycott, then by god, they're boycotting. Keeping their word. I can dig that.

It will be their loss after Fulmer's gone and there's a new coach in place, excitement and success return, and Hamilton cuts the number of student tickets.

Why? If I do not want to watch the sorry product on the field I will not by tickets. How is the hard for some to understand?

I just got the Big Orange Email that stated tickets available at 7:00 PM but didn't realize they were from the student section..... I figured they would be QQ, etc.....

Wow! Is this where we are?!?!? Bama tickets available GAME WEEK!?!?!?!?

Is there really an organized boycott or is it just a little waning interest due to the team's mediocrity?

Basilio just read an email from someone connected to UTK who is blaming low attendance on increased academic comeptitveness of UTK student body.

Idiot doesn't realize there is a economic crisis, a crappy football team, and students having to pay for their own tickets.
