Basilio saying that Foreman is injured?

Tusk times trying to intimidate Travis Stephens with stats. That's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

34 drained the swamp when he ran for over 2oo yards AT floriduh. Single handedly deflated their team and silenced 80,000 people. Doubt he is impressed by Bammer stats against teams we haven't even played. Consider yourself lucky you got to chat with him...he's a nice guy.

Thanks for the insight about the team 34. I know you VFLS have inside info. Hope Sutton does make it back that soon. Go Vols and God bless.

Great post. And This is a game where their receivers and their TE Howard put up big receiving numbers. Howard has been underused this year but this is the type of game he surfaces and puts up big numbers and creates a huge mismatches in the middle of the field. We don't have anyone that can consistently cover him. Dieter,Ridley and Stewart teamed up with their TE Howard are going to be nightmares for our secondary.T hen we gotta worry about their RB's and Hurts taking off running at any given time. We will have huge mismatches at certain positions, especially their O vs our D.

I don't care what anybody says. Jennings, Malone and Byrd are a nightmare for any secondary as well. In fact, I would take our top 3 receivers over their top 3 receivers all day long.

Western Kentucky, App St.
(3-3), (4-2)

Kent State, VA Tech
(2-4), (4-1)

Kentucky, Ohio
(3-3), (4-2)

Arkansas, Flarda
(4-2), (4-1)

USC, Georgia
(3-3), (4-2)

Ole Miss, TAMU
(3-2), (6-0)

Let's talk about the schedule tusk tusk.

Exactly. Tennessee's offense is better than Bama's, period. If we had a healthy defense then we win by 2 scores.

They should never have considered playing him vs Bama. He needed to fully heal and be ready for the home stretch. Hope this doesn't set him back even further. No team left on our schedule is a gimme. We need these guys to get healthy. Win the east...far more important that this one game vs bama. Win the east and we likely get 'em again. Plain stupid to rush Kirkland back.

How bout a little tale of the tape?

Alabama - 292.5 (2)

Tidbits:
Alabama leads the SEC in several "explosive play categories":
Passes over 30 yards - 16
40 yards - 11
50 yards - 5

Tennessee ranks last in defending these:
30 yards - 11
40 yards - 6 (tied for last)

Alabama leads the SEC sacks, while Tennessee has gotten the second fewest (only Vandy has less):
Alabama - 24 (1)
Tennessee - 9 (T11)

Alabama has given up 10 sacks this year, Tennessee has given up 14.

Alabama ranks 3rd in TO Margin at +5
Tennessee ranks 13th at -3.

Tennessee and Alabama are both in the top 3 in TFL:
Alabama - 43 (2)
Tennessee - 38 (3)

Third down conversions:
Alabama - 48.81% (2)
Tennessee - 42.9% (7)

Third down conversion defense:
Alabama - 31.58% (4)
Tennessee - 33.70% (5)

Those are some cool stats. They would actually mean something if the level of competition was the same. Seeing as though both teams have zero common opponents, it doesn't really mean anything.

Just another tub of goo bandwagon fan that lives vicariously through the success of a team he has zero to do with.

Those stats were made on the field.
The only stat we need to pay attention to is Bama historically does not fare well against UT when a Vol team is in the top ten. Makes no difference their rank or location of game we get 'em. We enter the game tomorrow #9, it's been almost 30 years since Bama beat a top ten ranked UT team, almost as often as UGA wins a national title.

Check out the stats between Tennessee and LSU 01'...... Yet we lost

All that matters is the score. Last week we racked up 700 yards but lost. Those r great stats but L isn't. Let's just get this win

Yeah 7 TO's will do that. With a very beat up defense the Vols absolutely have to win the turn over margin to have a chance. Bama already has 9 defensive TD's this year. They have to have 0 tomorrow. Of course just stating the obvious. Ball security is the key to this game for Tennessee.

Hope the team is getting more pumped up with all the doubters. Dobbs and Barnett need to play like their hair is on fire. I agree with 34 that the crowd has got to be so loud those bammers can't hear themselves think. Hurts is due a freshman type game.

I remember that night well. LSU had one of the worst pass defenses in CFB. We had you, Witten, Stallworth, and Kelly Washington at the skill positions and even knocked out their starting QB and RB and lost that game. I really thought that team could have gave Miami a run for their money that year.

I was there celebrating the first half and them losing their QB and RB.

Victory was within our grasp.

Second half crushed my soul until we visited Cheetah's later that evening.

I was at that game. UT had already ayes LSU earlier that year and beat them pretry easy. I look at that ad the rise of Saban and downfall of Fulmer.
That game is why I never considered Chavis a great DC. One sime adjustment in coverage and LSU was toast. the back up QB kept running up the middle.

Fulmer allowed Saban his 1st SEC title and also destroyed his cHance to get UT into NC game for 2nd time in 3 years. Started the slow spiral that ultimately led to his firing and gave birth to the Saban we all know and hate today.

My god this is getting out of hand if true :banghead2:

If it is true, it is best we get these guys healed over the open date and be ready to run the table through the rest of the season. 10& 2 will get us in the SEC Championship game and we will be better prepared to beat Alabama and getting into the final four playoffs.
