No, not all do.
And among those who do, the successful ones know when it is appropriate to tease info and when not.
No one would dare tease JFK's assassination, for instance. None would tease the 9/11 attacks.
An injured player is nowhere close to that serious, of course, but it's still not fodder for the 'tease' style of generating drama.
Tease a new ad campaign, tease your upcoming live broadcast from Joe's Pool Hall next Friday night, even tease an announcement about a coaching hire. But don't tease injuries or anything that can be negatively life-changing for the people involved.
Like I said, I wouldn't know Basilio's voice if I heard it, never listened to the man. Just going by the strongly negative responses people in VolNation have had to his methods.
lol. Are you freaking serious? If teasing a player injury isn't as serious as the JFK assassination or 9/11, then don't use that as an analogy. That is patently absurd.
And he didn't tease it, he said he didn't have any additional info to share yet. It's not like he says "Big news coming, but I won't share it until the last segment of the show." He just aid he heard rumors of an injured player, and that was that. He shares the info he has, be it very little or very big. Personally, that's what I want in a talk radio source.
Maybe listen to the show once before forming an opinion, just a suggestion.
People on VN criticize him because it's easy and some of his info is wrong sometimes, and there are plenty of low hanging fruit jokes to make. It's the same thing with the board "insiders." They get tons of flack for the couple of times they are wrong from that select crowd, despite the fact they provide lots of good information for free. It's just internet culture, but it's still a bummer sometimes.
