Well, that's not true. Basilio was reporting the rumor of a rumor that may, or may not, have been related to some unnamed injury. Not news about Chance Hall being hurt.

Now Hall might be hurt but, at this point, there isn't any real proof of that.

GFW didn't actually confirm anything. He said that he heard Chance was banged up...but that he (GFW) heard that a couple of days before the latest practice, which Chance took part in fully. So he's not sure what's true.

I actually couldn't find any evidence that Hall took part in Tuesday's practice. It may just be a coincidence, but his number isn't visible in the OL-specific practice video and he's not in practice photos from VQ or 247 either.

No. The problem with you is that there is almost a glee at which you discuss any injury news.

Its the main reason I'm sure you're a UGA fan masquerading as an overly pessimistic Vols fan.

I don't care how pessimistic a fan you are. True fans don't celebrate injuries to their players the way you do.

So we've all kind of known that there was an injury floating around based on the practice reports. In the recent reports they always say "this is who is in green, but we can't talk about who isn't practicing due to injury". To me that says "someone major is injured but Butch won't let us tell you so don't hate us for not posting it when you find out about it when the starting lineup is posted"

Call me crazy, but this thread is the exact reason Butch has his injury reporting rule.

Also, VN apparently spins itself up and melts down like a clique of pretty high school girls. It's actually pretty entertaining.

Dawgbone's behavior with regard to injury rumors is blatantly obvious. While the rest of us are cautiously optimistic, he assumes the worst and seems to relish in the bad news. Many times he spins information into the most negative connotation such as these recent info from GFW.

Its disgusting IMO.

Sophomore right tackle Chance Hall underwent “successful” surgery this morning on his knee for a non-ACL injury.


The timetable for Hall’s return is unclear but should be addressed following practice by Jones.

Potential injuries aside, I don't get all the hate for Basilio on this board. Dude is as right as often as anyone in this market, and is a good dude who works his tail off and does great things in the community. He's been the only guy on the radio with any personality in this market for years, and he calls it like he sees it and shares the information he gets, which is often quite good. He could be another talking head/mouthpiece for the AD if he wanted to, but he works hard to be honest and avoid that nonsense.

I know it's easy to poke fun and just rip people on a message board. It's the internet after all. But we're lucky to have a guy like Basilio who loves the Vols and covers this program. He's a rarity and a very entertaining listen who does keep it real and admits when he's wrong.

Hopefully just some minor clean-up work and he will be back by Florida or sooner.

How hard is to understand that when he or most people say "lol" in this situation, they aren't laughing at the injury itself, they are laughing at the way in which the football God's seem to always find new and creative ways to **** Tennessee over. Honestly, I think most of you know that though...it's just that ****ting in Catbone is the cool thing to do.
