UT Football has become a waste of emotions, interest and time (and for some of us - $). TEN YEARS in the pot of mediocrity is enough.

Problem is...I'm not sure who UT should hire.

Texas new coach (from Houston) just lost to Memphis.....
Louisville just lost to Kentucky.....
Notre Dame ended their season 4-8....
Miss State just handed Ole Miss their worst defeat in 100 years....
(...and I could go on...)

The recycling of coaches in college football is starting to take a toll.

Recycled coaches... there will be a lot of coaches looking for work, and I think the issue for them should be their body of work. They are being released for a reason. Take Chip Kelly for example... he is already looking for his next big gig, but his ego won't let him see what fans can. Some of these guys need to take the next step in their careers and get on the car lot now.

You do realize that folks just throw out names without actually taking time to look at what said coach has or hasn't done.

Yeah, but I'm having fun😬. I actually understand that Butch isn't gonna be fired, it's kinda fun playing with the ones who really think he will.

Petrino could win here with our resources as could Miles if he would hire a OC and let him run it. He is a master motivator and can recruit with the best of them and knows defense. We could do worse, but with both of these guys they would need a great staff on both sides of the ball, especially the side that isn't their strength. GBO!!!!

What do you expect him to say--give a detailed analysis of why our defense can't stop anybody, run or pass? Sit there and beg for forgiveness? You make a few comments and leave.

he should have had Shoop and Debord do it since they didnt do much at the game

Actually, DeBord only has the SC game to blame for, as I seriously doubt the Bama game plan was his.

I actually like him now more than most of Jones assts.

If you've seen one Butch post game conference, you've seen them all. Its probably best he didnt hang aroung, so he wouldnt add something more stupid to the "Champions of Life" slogan!

Debords Offense put up 34, that should be plenty to beat Vandy. Shoops Defense didnt do anything.

34 wasn't going to be enough & DeBord should have known that. Yes, in the past 34 would have been plenty for a Vandy game but not this one. 31 1st half points & only a FG the 2nd half. That wasn't going to cut it with this defense.

DeBord stopped calling plays that were working the 1st half. He got conservative & know Vandy was running & throwing it at will against us. He should have still been playing aggressively & trying to score at least in the upper 40's if not over 50 points. We could have done that with better playcalling.

We were running the same 'ol crap over & over in both the running & passing game the entire 2nd half. That conservative play got us beat along with CBJ's poor coaching & game management like he has done so many times as head coach.

So what happens when he stays say, 3 more years, establishes himself as a solid 8 to 15th class ranking recruiter and then leaves with not a full stable, but by no means an empty one. Leaves the program in excellent condition.....most renovations on the stadium finished, etc., etc.

Think you guys can live that long?
