And now Vince was quoted in the Atlanta Journal saying the following. 'You don't all of a sudden love that ugly orange.' I get his sentiment. I would imagine when you compete with UT year in and year out that you come to hate the color orange, but Vince Dooley has to understand that Orange is all we have here. We are the BIG ORANGE! You know what I mean. His son's not exactly off to a blazing start. I'm not sure if he's helping matters with that comment. And I realize it's tongue in cheek. But you may not. And that's my concern. I think Vince and Barbara are good folks and I hope they don't incur the wrath of UT fans for these comments.

TB is spot on!

More crap that doesnt mean crap. We did not care if Kiffens parents or Fulmers family liked the color orange. Be competitive, play hard, win games. That is what we want.

It's what happens when you bring in someone that's never been associated with our program or university. Vol fans were completely spoiled in that regard. Every coach we've ever had until the last two had some tie with UT prior to being named head coach.

It's the internet age, all things are of record, I don't care if he took out a huge ad in the KNS to say it as long as CDD wins. I have no problem with what he said. Now if he wasn't a coach of a rival then maybe I could understand people being mad about it. I think overall though it means little to nothing.

I did not realize that Vince is our Coach.

For context:

Of Saturday's game, Dooley said he neither dreaded it nor looked forward to it.

"I would rather in a lot of ways it not happen," he said.

Dooley will watch the game from home.

"It's family first, but I'm certainly not going to be pulling for my son in Sanford Stadium," he said.

The coach acknowledged it will be strange hoping Tennessee defeats his beloved Bulldogs, although his affections have their limits.

"You don't all of a sudden love that ugly orange," he said. "I don't. But I have a great appreciation for the fans."

Yea, I'm not understanding what the problem is? Vince loves UGA, as he should, but loves his son more.

What point is bafoolio trying to make? Yeah Vince was the Georgia coach way back when and he should now hate them?

Seems like much ado about nothing.

Agreed.

Looks like not everyone in the family dislikes orange...:)
