Simple enough - our pitching was only good enough because we (uncharacteristically) had two double plays. So the defense was adequate. The problem was simply our bats must have been left at home.

The Psycho can drill them tomorrow but we have to actually put points on the board if we want to win.

I received the runs news last night from my brother in East Tenn. amid our power outage that began while I was following the UNC game and watching the top of the third between Birds snd Dodgers. A very brief thunderstorm KO'd a power pole about a quarter mile from our home and we were told that power would be restored by 4 pm CDT. We fina;lly heard the hum of the AC some time before=the clock struck 1 am Pray it stats on at wharever rime game startd today.

Warm beer, red wine and not-so warm burgers drove us to bed early. Mrs AV had to go to Hampton Inn to charge smart phone, Rumble of thunder kust heard.

Yep....we had several balls hit with great velocity but didn't find a gap. It happens. And as the ole adage goes..."we mostly only had track power yesterday" except for Curley and Fishers ball of course. BTW...the way Curley handled his home run IMO is EXACTLY how one should handle it. A steady trot around the bases without cussing or screaming at the opposing team. Resembled class, which I understand he definitely possess.
