BaseVols 2025 SEC schedule posted

My hot take is the road schedule is far more difficult and appealing matchups wise then who we get at home. Tons of brutal road matchups, meanwhile we get Kentucky, Auburn, and Vandy at home.

Also, very annoying we have to go back to Arkansas for a second straight road trip instead of them coming to Knoxville, but we all know the SEC couldn’t resist sending the defending national champions Tony Vitello and Tennessee to the love sick puppies home stadium.

Not many road series games a fan can get to. Tickets would be insanely difficult for Baton Rouge, Fayetteville, and Oxford.

Alabama will be dependent on their spring game date. Disappointed to see them on road 2nd year in a row but as a permanent opponent (no sense) either Vanderbilt or Alabama had to be that way in 2024

Can't believe we have a conference opener series at home. And doubly so that it's Florida. I can hear their fans bitching now about the potential cold.

Can't stand the last series is at Arkansas. If we were going to be forced to play a team twice, they should have let us play Alabama then.

By the way, made my reservations for Houston this week. Good package deals available for air fare, hotel and car rental.

Chart to all schedules.

Kentucky has a softer schedule again as Arkansas, Florida, and LSU are not on the Wildcat schedule at all. A quick view shows only Oklahoma can likely compare as they dodge Florida, Tennessee and A&M

Tennessee does not play Georgia, Miss State, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Only the Longhorns would be a top half of the league sort of team.

We may be stuck playing Arkansas against in Fayetteville, but the Razorbacks don't miss any of the top 4-5 teams as their DNP are AL, AU, KY, MS, and OU
Their last half opponents are Texas A&M, at Florida, Texas, at LSU, Tennessee. Only Vanderbilt is the strong first half opponent but that's in Nashville.
Arkansas will need vastly improved pitching in 2025 or it won't matter what happens the last week of the regular season against Tennessee.

Aggies open with Alabama , @ Vanderbilt, Kentucky, @tennessee, South Carolina, @ Arkansas, @ Texas, LSU, Missouri, @ Georgia,
Four of their five toughest series is on the road as the only quality home series is LSU. Arkansas and Texas back-to-back on road is "unpleasant"

The Vols are hosting Florida at the beginning of the UT spring break, so I won’t be as many students in attendance.

This might be one of those 17-13 type years and then we get in the postseason and the lights come on for a young team.
I really hope the newly converted football fans don’t bring that silly mentality over to baseball next season.
With the way Tony reloads, I’ll hold up on season predictions. Wouldn’t shock me in the slightest if we’re Top 3 in the conference.

I can’t remember, but doesn’t the SEC scale schedule difficulty based on how good you were the previous year for baseball? I could be wrong

IMO, only for viewship and hype purposes. Would have nothing to do with achieving parity or leveling the playing field.

I realize baseball is not important in western North Carolina due to the recent events. Just saying It’s possible our schedule will not include teams from WNC due to interstate conditions.

I heard today, that I 40 repairs will not be completed until September 2025 And I 26 could be reopened by late Spring.
