Of all time during a year after this dreadful season ends. I asked the Rivals College Baseball board if they knew the worst records of all time in SEC history and a poster said it was either Vandy or UK with a 6-24 SEC record about 10 years ago.

I hate to post this, I really do, but our team could make history this year. Off to a 1-10 start in the SEC after another loss today, we might not get to 5 wins in conference play. I see us getting swept by Bama, LSU, and Arkansas and losing series to Mississippi State, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Vandy...putting us at 5-25 in SEC play.

Again, I really hate to post something like this, but our team could MAKE history this year.

It's certainly not out of the question.

It was under Mark Connor who lasted 2 years at the helm before Delmonico was hired. That season was his 2nd and last season.

His first year looks pretty similar to Raleigh's first year and the way things are going now, it looks like the 2nd one is as well. Maybe Tennessee will follow suit again and go get a big program's Asst Coach instead of dealing with these big fish in small Cullowhee ponds.

Asst. Coach from UNC looks nice. Pitching Coach of the year, part of bringing in some huge classes in the past few years.

I've defended Raleigh in the past but this is terrible. Something is probably going to be done after this year.

And more bad news. We are the only SEC team with a below .500 overall record.

Awhile back I said he would get one more year. If this team ends up with 6 wins or less, I would have been wrong.

any win this team gets will be pure luck...that 4 win total in 89 is in jeopardy...and if that happens, Hamilton will have to bite the bullet and make a change. Don't you think?

If Delmonico wasn't fired because of wins-losses, then I doubt Hamilton will fire Raleigh because of his record, after 2 years. I realize it's a sport and that's all that really matters, but folks seem to want to forget or disregard that Delmonico was fired because he was an ass, had awful relationships with in-state coaches, and his players at UT were consistantly in trouble and never graduated. If Raleigh has managed to improve the program's standing with any of those, you have to think that will help his cause. Plus it's non revenue anyway, so pulling the plug after 2 years is probably too much even if we only win a handful of conference games. Choices can be a lot easier when money's involved.
