Calhoun's on the River is great early season when it isn't too cold. Not so sure how it will be in late November, but it is a good spot. Some friends and I are going to Knoxville for the Vandy game and I am trying to find out what bars are good. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
I have already heard that Calhouns on the River is the place to be on gameday.
Tell me about it.
I was all about some Liquid on the strip, now its Bar and it's just not as classy.
Isn't that in the same spot where The Lap/Library used to be. That place used to be nuts.
Also try Toddy's or Opal's if you like the laid-back beer drinking places. Little off campus but still great fun.
Well I was being sarcastic if it wasn't apparent.
Toddy's is good because you can buy bottles of liquor at their store and drink them there.
I'm a fan of the Bean though.
Toddy's has moved their liquor store. The bar and liquor store are now about 10 blocks apart.
Charlie Peppers is a good time, but I think they've lost their liquor license, so only beer is sold there right now.
Half Barrel is ok...pretty good selection, but kinda expensive.
BWW's is a good time, lots of tv's and big screen projectors to catch other games.
If you go downtown, Downtown Grill and Brewery is good. Microbrews, decent prices.
Old City has Barley's, with a huge beer selection.
More like 50 yards.
