Depends on the recruiting. Can we bring someone capable of salvaging a class, or are we gonna have to start “brick by brick” all over again.

How do you figure this? There's more talent on this team than you realize. Plus the '17 recruiting class (amazingly) is largely still intact. If we can lure Mays back along with a few others, we will still have a good recruiting class!

Why wouldn’t we get a home run hire? I’m more confident now than ever that we will.

The ones that most consider home runs have either used us to get extensions or raises at current school or they have already left for a new job last week. We will likely get one of Fulmers friends. Cutcliffe or Miles or one of that type

There is nowhere near the amount of talent on the Vols as you think. We look slow and soft compared tp virtually every other SEC team. We need a head coach to come in and coach out the soft weak attitude Butch brought in. Thats going to take at least 2 years.

We ain’t getting a home run hire this year. I will be happy with a dynamic recruiter with a high ceiling.

Les Miles

LOL. I loved Miles at Lsu; but Poor Les can't speak one full sentence anymore. Has issues; Horrible Clock Mgmt, Substitution penalties, long list. hence Lsu drop. I'm a closet Lsu fan, (see bama enemy) and Ive kept a close eye on Miles. Why hasn't anyone Banged on His Door? Hmmmm. Yeah.

A civil war erupted that has been simmering for a long time.

There will not be a home run coach out there.

I wonder if some calculated gamble like Tee Martin- phenomenal recruiter that he is could come in as HC and with Fulmer and old guard help put together a great staff. Sure he would have a learning curve but reload on talent and get the strength program and lines rebuilt. If fans can sit back and enjoy the rebuild for 2 years and get back from last in east to bowl eligible that is a big step. There will be no magic fix even with Gruden.

Chief and sanders are available and with some holdovers - Gillespie, warren Hoke? This could get rolling again. Remember the civil war may have cost $10 million so don't quibble on assistant coaches - but that may have been the price for purging the insanity hamstringing the program.

There is a sad reality exuberant folks from todays events don't get. Less than 3 weeks to early signing day and none of the fine coaches Fulmer will consider will have coattails. Now, Kiffin would have those kind of coattails because he is a coach that young athletes want to play for. So you are correct in worrying about this. Our 18 team will consist of the team we have now minus 22 seniors, and if we are very lucky, an incoming recruiting class that is at least considered average or slightly better. A coattails coach like Kiffin would probably land us a top ten, but we're far too proud a program to bring him back. Next years mediocrity will not inspire recruits for 19. Saban wins with 4-5 star recruits and we'll be seeing sweet few of those.

Considering where we are at this point, Miles is absolutely a home run hire. You can fool yourself all you want. His record in the SEC proves he is.

His record was built with the amazing talent in Louisiana which is drawn to LSU like a magnet because it's the single football school in the state.

That being said, Miles might be the best option we have at the moment if Leach is off the table.

I would compare Les to a Beautiful Woman who wouldn't look at you; made it with everyone else and now She needs a Place to fall. You feel flattered; BUT then you remember UM------------She aint what She was when you were SO Infatuated.

You’re drunk at this point. We’re stacked with talent. Strength and conditioning and player development has been our major problems on top of idiotic play calling. Don’t fool yourself. We’ll have 3, 5 Star OL once we get Cade back home. Guarantano wants Tee for a reason. Every school in the country recruited him and he knows Tee. Talent? Good grief man. Take a Xanax and chase it with a beer.

Every great coach has great assitants. Asinine argument. Miles can coach. There is nothing you or anyone else can say that refutes that.

You got to be kidding! Look at the games where LSU farted around with no clue! Misuse of timeouts, Clock screw-ups, Just TOTAL Chaos. You haven't watched the TIGERS like I have Bud.

We’ve had 40 transfers in the last few years. We’re slightly better than when Dooley left. That’s the truth.

Delusion Reigns Supreme. Talent? You will see Talent Tomorrow. Auburn, Ga, Ala, Lsu. That's Talent. Butch's recruiting classes were totally overrated. Bama's second team kicks our butt . Talent? We are UK talent wise.
