New?! What's "new" about John Thompson? He was pretty much asked to beat it from here. A 50+ year old man gettin' down with the players a la Trooper Taylor just doesn't seem to work. At least Taylor isn't far removed from the game and is a young guy. Thompson just looked like a buffoon doing it. And that standing up stance for the defensive lineman was about as effective as if they had been turned facing the opposite direction of the o-line.

It must be July. Articles like these become painful right up before SEC Media Days.
