I didn't expect to win against LSU, bammer, Florida, UGA, USC or Arky.
But I did and DO expect them to look like a well coached team and they do not.
I don't think he is the right guy and he was a knee jerk hire.

That's your opinion, which we all know, isn't very qualified.

As far as him being a knee jerk hire, you should really clam up about things for which you have no idea

You're basing that on a season in which we played one of the toughest schedules in football without our 2 best offensive players. If the 2nd half debacles and losing trends continue next year maybe I will agree with you. Until then you will continue to sound like every other ignorant Vol fan.

I'm talking about the players knowing what to do. Like coverages, lining up in the right spot and the Oline playing as well as last year etc.
I said I didn't expect us to beat the LSU's and bammers of the world. But I expect them to play disciplined.

Saban wasn't in the mix until Shula was gone. Dooley gets one more year no matter what. But I don't have to watch the guy for 4 years to know the team he has isn't well coached. I can see it on the field every Saturday.

How would you know what a well coached team looks like? You're credibility on this issue(most others as well) isn't too high considering you think Phillip Fulmer put well coached teams out there

You are the idiot. No I take that back, you're a genius. I mean the media didn't keep saying over and over how Shula was doing a good job and just needed time.
And I didn't say it was time for Fulmer to go. You are so smart...

And for several years Fulmer did put very well coached teams on the field. I don't have a link handy for you but you can google 1997 and 1998 SEC chamions and 1998 National champions and I'm sure you can find a few articles.

For the 3rd time, what fans are putting DD above the program?

Seriously? Read my posts. Many of you BFF's have thrown players, media and fans who criticize DD under the bus and attack the full bore. You make excuses FOR EVERYTHING that goes wrong.

Not true. I say give him another year to see if he can turn it around. You seem to think that means I want Dooley over the success of the program. You continue to have no basis for your arguments...

He'll get another year. And I wasn't talking about you exclusively. But read this site! Hell a month ago some BFF's started a thread asking if he was our Joe Paterno!

You can't answer a simple question about your program v Dooley comment. Even after asking it 4 times.
What a goob.

I agree wholeheartedly. Anyone that doesn't demand championship level discipline and maturity from a team full of Freshmen and Sophomores is just accepting mediocrity. I might even be so bold as to say they are celebrating and actively encouraging mediocrity. Anyone that thinks otherwise is a goob.

He will never give you an answer. That would require him to actually support something he says with facts. Nothing he ever says is factual, so you are wasting your time. :)

Are you referring to player talent or coaching talent?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he meant player talent. CPF out talented many teams. I, however, don't seem to be able to recall many times when CPF plainly OUTCOACHED anyone. CPF's coaching talent was clearly evident when the rest of the SEC player talent was on par with Tennessee (two sub .500 seasons anyone?) We lost and we were embarrassed by a lot of teams with that equal talent. Expecting any better now with clearly less talent is absurd.

He was a knee jerk hire. Hiring a guy to save one class is one of the best examples of knee jerk hiring. Losing one class (which we would not have) isn't nearly as bad as hiring a guy who isn't right for the job.
This is not a well coached team and to say otherwise is foolish or is made by someone ignorant of football.

Did you play football? If so did you start as a freshman? If so were you absolutely error free, or did know every in and out of your playbook and how to handle every situation that was thrown at you? If so...that's absolutely amazing, but you need to realize not everybody is you. If you answered no to the very first question; stfu. If you answered no to the second question; stfu. If you answered no to the third question, then you should understand why the team isn't as you put it "well coached"

Look dingleberry, I did play ball and yes I did play a lot as a frosh and that has NOTHING to do with what I've stated. I expect all players to make some mistakes but to continue to make the same ones over and over says a lot. And that IS coaching or the lack there of.

Bottom line, Dooley is our coach and is going to be our coach for probably two more years at least, so get behind him, support the team and it's players and let's see what he can do. The last thing our young team needs is a bunch of internet cowards throwing stones at them from the comfort of their keyboard, and talking up what knowledgeable vol fans they are. Dooley was hired because he was turning the program around at La Tech, was current HC and AD, he is a smart guy, he interviewed extremely well, and he looked at UT as an opportunity of a lifetime at a school with a longstanding SEC tradition, not a stepping stone to something else...isn't that the kind of guy we were looking for?!

I answered him. Like u reality eludes him.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

What is reality?

Reality is the perception of things that actually exist, rather than as they may appear

In our program, the following things exist.

Decreased Depth Chart
High amount of underclassmen starting
Injuries to our top two players on offense
Loss of our top player on defense
#1 Toughest schedule in Div 1 football

Take those things that exist, in reality, add them all together, and you get our current season.

To you, that makes Dooley appear that he cant coach.

Thats not reality

Thanks for playing. See the attendant on the way out

Go ahead and call me a dumbass and explain what you are talking about with your sig

Its means that most people have no idea what goes on with this team, our has any clue about how bad the situation on the Hill is/was. All they do is come on here to spew venow about the coaching staff, only to make themselves look stupid doing it

Where did you play Beef?

What position?

Keep in mind, that just because you played football, doesnt make you the worlds expert on coaching.

Numerous case studies have been done on former athletes as coaches. The numbers are not in your favor
